CCC R4: Crystal Palace v. Newcastle United, 22 Aug [R]
Discuss here.
10 am EDT kickoff for those in the states. 3 pm in the UK, 7 am on the west coast. 8 am for me, which is way better than 7.
Looks like Carroll will probably be out for this one, after going off with a groin injury against Sheffield Wednesday. Barton is probably another late fitness test. I figure we'll see Xisco up front with Ameobi, since Hughton appears to like two tall, more lumbering strikers and introduce speed later on.
FootyMad has predicted a nil-draw.

Hey, I told you to go support Sunderland when you bailed on us. You of all people should know it takes a while for me to get warmed up.

I would check ustream if there's no TV feed. The person who provided the radio feed on Wednesday said he/she would put up all non-televised games.

I can't see us getting three points. We will have to put out basically the same 11 that has played the last two matches, and if you have read/heard the player's comments they were all absolutely exhausted against SW. Selhurst has always been a really difficult place to play. I'll be happy with a point. I'd love to see Nile get the start but it doesn't seem all that likely.
I'll be en route to D.C. to return to school unfortunately, but at least I won't miss a tv feed. :shrug

Seems like we're going 4-5-1. Unless we're playing Smith up front?

would have rather seen ranger start up top or even xisco. This lineup screams tie to me.
