Default Tailgate Info Us v El Salvador Sandy, UT

The tailgate will be in the “Canyons” parking lot just South of the West side of the Stadium about 3-4 hours before kickoff. It's right on the way to the stadium from the hotel. All are welcome!

It is a dirt parking lot that can be reached by driving west off of State Street on 9400 South and is the 2nd parking lot on the right. People congregate towards the back of the parking lot. People will have grills for cooking, so if people want to bring some food and drinks that works. Or just show up with a few bucks and contribute and you can get some food and drinks.

Parking costs $10 in this lot for MLS games. Hopefully will be the same for the Nat’s. If people are staying in downtown hotels, they can take the trax to Jordon Commons (9400 South) and walk two blocks west to the parking lot. Here's a link to a map around the stadium:
http://www.riotintostadium.com/parking_&_maps.php
The Hotel should be where the "S" is in Sandy Park Centre

Thank you to Judge Leverich of the local supporters RCB and John Walker a member of the local supporters The Loyalists for the above info.

I'm so pumped for this game! Thanks for setting up the tailgate! Should be lots of fun. I assume it is BYOM and other dishes to share. Can't wait to meet some other sammers!
This will be my 5th cap with the USMNT!
Also does anyone know if we are going to be doing a march into the stadium? I assume we would leave from the dirt lot but maybe we could do a lap around the stadium, drumming up support from other U.S. supporters as well!
Come on U.S.!

I think a march around the stadium for the support groups is a great idea. Barra Real does is for all the RSL matches. People in Sam's Army and the American Outlaws and others who want to join in could enter in from the SW and head up to the middle level, march clockwise all around the area to the NW then down the stairs to the south stands and up into the seats.

Great idea, but there is no entrance on the SW. We would need to enter from the NW and march around the north to the east and then head to the south end supporters section.

Don't want to get this thread off track, but could you SLC folks post info in the Sales Tracker thread on persons to email/call to get the word out about this game? Specifically, things like DJs and writers that people should email about the game?

On the American Outlaws website they were saying that we couldn't march because the pub we're meeting at prior to the game (Lumpy's) is to far away from the stadium, however the idea of marching the stadium is an awesome idea. I've been to ever home qualifier this year and very much enjoy the march... Plus I am flying into SLC from Indianapolis and looking for some people that wouldn't mind 3 people looking for a place to tail gate, this will be my first game I can't have all my own tailgating stuff. Am more than happy to help pitch in with both food and drink... Let me know, thanx... AO

Barra Real does seem to march clockwise before the game (not sure where they enter), and also at halftime. I thought maybe they were going in the west entrance then up the stairs. Doesn't matter what direction we march of course.

Got my ticket in the mailbox yesterday and am super excited for this one.

I forgot about Barra, you are correct. But Barra gets special treatment from the FO, hence all the sponsors on their flags and banners. I believe they do enter from the SW, but nobody else is allowed to enter there.

The SCB will help organize the march into the stadium. It will most likely take place an hour or so before kick off, so make sure you are done eating and have plenty of beer in your system, if thats your style

USA!
