Later this week we face Kosice, the game is going to be played earlier than normal, 16:30 central European time.

SEDUTA MATTUTINA PER LA ROMA, PERROTTA TORNA AD ALLENARSI, DIFFERENZIATO PER TOTTI E CICINHO

Allenamento mattutino oggi per la Roma di Luciano Spalletti, scesa sul terreno di gioco intorno alle 9.30. La squadra si è radunata per iniziare a preparare la trasferta di Europa League contro il Kosice in prgramma giovedì 20 alle 16.30.

La squadra si è radunata in palestra per il riscaldamento. Subito una buona notizia per i colori giallorossi: Perrotta è sceso in campo ed esegue lavoro differenziato. Scesi sul terreno di gioco solamente i portieri. Sotto il gran caldo di Trigoria (circa 35 gradi) il gruppo, tra cui è presente anche Baptista, è sceso in campo e svolge esercizi ad ostacoli con successivi tiri in porta. Anche oggi il capitano Totti è sceso ad allenarsi sul terreno di Trigoria ma svolge un lavoro differenziato insieme a Cicinho, assente invece il terzino sinistro Riise in permesso concordato con la società. Dopo il riscaldamento ora il gruppo esegue un lavoro su l'addestramento tattico provando schemi offensivi e difensivi. Spalletti si sofferma più volte nel dare consigli sui movimenti corretti ed appare molto attento nel dare indicazioni. A seguire la partitella in famiglia con sponde.

Il capitano Totti, insieme a Vito Scala esegue dei giri di campo e lavoro atletico. Prosegue il recupero del capitano come assicura anche il sito della società: “Nella mattinata di oggi il calciatore Francesco Totti è stato sottoposto, come previsto, ad esami strumentali di controllo che hanno evidenziato un miglioramento del quadro clinico. Pertanto il calciatore continuerà il protocollo terapeutico riabilitativo previsto".

- Perrotta has started to do light training separate from the group, light running and stretching. This means his recovery is going smoothly and in a couple of weeks he could be playing again.

- Totti is not in the best of shape, since last week he's not be able to train with the group and has been doing the same light training that the injured players are doing.

- Baptista has returned to training with the group.

Glad to hear Julio has returned...Totti will probably play. But, he got banged up quite a bit in the Gent series.

Doubt he will feature, he likely will not feature against Genoa either.

Nuova amichevole domani per la Roma. Dopo l’allenamento mattutino, in programma alle ore 9.30, la squadra scenderà in campo alle ore 17 contro l’ Al – Shabab, formazione guidata dall’ex romanista Toninho Cerezo. La gara, trasmessa da Roma Channel, sarà aperta solo per la stampa. I cancelli rimarranno dunque chiusi al pubblico.

Seems that after tomorrow's training session Roma will play a friendly against Al - Shabab.

Another friendly? This game is on the 20th and is very important, and then we have Genoa on the 23rd. 3 games in 5 days is bad stuff.

I agree with Grazie....enough with the friendlies. There's no reason as to why they need this extra game. Although, i doubt any first team players will play in the friendly, but i assume a couple may. Then we wonder why our players are exausted/injured all the time.

That's what happens when you don't have much strength in goal, defence and up front. You rely on the same players week in week out, they get exhausted and suffer the inevitable niggling injuries that ruin our season.

We're llucky that DDR managed to remain healthy all season, He was exhausted in the final 10 games of the season and his play dropped significantly. But, he's a strong player. Physically and mentally. He avoids major injuries *Knock on wood*

But, our defense is going to be in major trouble this year. I wouldn't be surprised if DDR plays CB at some point.

^ Pretty sad that Esposito is playing that game....going from the NT 4 years ago, to playing with kids n a friendly game. His career is on a downward spiral.
