And? Are defenders supposed to score goals? How much has he been a part of goal-scoring situations? An answer to that is what I'd like to hear.

Of course! Did you ever hear of any Brazilian player or Brazilian defender for that matter who has not scored a goal, ever? For him not to have scored 1 goal in over 10 years of pro soccer, doesn't prove to me he is much of a player.....

What about Cafu, Leonardo, Roberto Carlos, Rai????????????????

etc etc...

Oh, I forgot to ask. Where did you get that info from? Is that from Wikipedia? Didn't we have a problem, just a while ago, with some source on the web saying that all the players on a particular team had zero goals?

You cannot rely though on Wikipedia. After all the site does not say much of anything about his club appearances either. He probably has scored at some time in his seemingly mediocre career. But he does have a winners medal from wikipedia. I don't even remember much about him from Nautica. If he's at Rio Branco, that is in Espirito Santo, which is the state North of Rio De Janeiro. And Rio Branco isn't too good, playing in Serie D in Brasil. Serie A and Serie B are pretty competitive, but Serie C (split) and Serie D isn't too good IMO. It's like 40 clubs playing a round-robin. If he really has not scored in Serie D through his career, then he's absolutely nothing to really write home about.
