Like many I would gnash my teeth at his mistakes and physical limitations on the pitch. However, Marcelo was/is a tireless worker, by all accounts a good team-mate, wore the FCD stripes for several years, tried his hardest to do his best every time, wanted FCD to win every game more than any fan, and was never in the news or gossip for anything negative. 110% effort 100% of the time.

Thank you Marcelo for being a key member of this club while you were here and for your efforts. I wish you nothing but success in the future and hopefully all FCD supporters do as well. Good luck with Chivas (except when you play FCD).

Ditto. Plus he seems like a really nice guy. Last year, our seats were near his wife and he would just light up everytime he saw her and his son in the stands.
