Bob Saget!!
I posted it in the post game thread but wanted to post it here to so everyone can look out for banner thieves... I will admit I am one-half of the people putting up the annoying "Bob Saget" sign...but tonight someone tried to steal it from us....during the team celebration my buddy looked up and said. "someone is taking our sign," there were at least 5 of them the one that I took out of his hands was a bigger dude with red curly hair with a white bandana and season ticket holder, the reason I know this is because they were all wearing the shirts from tonight. It just sucks now because our sign is now ripped and we can no longer hang it there....I hope it was no one from here...
if an admin feels the need to remove than so be it....

Re: Bob Saget!!
That really sucks that someone would do that, but for the record, the MLS Cup Champion T-Shirts have been given away as promotions for single game tickets as well. Just FYI. Hopefully the culprits learn their lesson.
Assholes.

Re: Bob Saget!!
Hopefully that doesn't bring bad karma the team. There is a price that must be paid for trying to take something that doesn't belong. That's just how the law of reciprocity works.

Re: Bob Saget!!
A direct kick to the junk w/o warning is entirely appropriate in these situations... glad you caught them before they got away with it. That sucks that it got torn.
Edit: Now that you fessed up to being a part of it, now we deserve the full explanation behind the creation of this banner.

Especially as the return of the banner this evening brought renewed vigor to the team!

I'm not sure if this request can be made enough. Some friends and I talk about this sign every game, and even noticed the one game when it was in a different place but then moved back to its correct location, spurring the team. I love this sign.

well basically we got it from the tourettes guy, (if you've never heard of him youtube him very fun.) it's another way to curse without cursing you know because of the whole family friendly situation.
So during one of the games there was a bad call against us, and we got so frustrated and tried to figure out what word to use we just blirted out, "Bob Saget!," and it snowballed from the into the banner you see today.
here is a link to tourettes guy...

Re: Bob Saget!!
It's funny how Bob Saget was transformed from a frustration curse to a good omen (superstition) for the team.
All because the General and I thought the banner would be funny.

Re: Bob Saget!!
Thank you for sharing. Last night Tim asked me if I had seen that banner before and I told him that it was up at all the recent games that I can remember. Then, he asked if I knew why it was up. I had no idea. Great explanation.
