You're looking LIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE at a violation of the Open Container Law!

And in a related story, the Brent Musburger Drinking Game has surged in popularity.

I googled 'musbegrerisms.' Disappointing that there was only one link:

Why, so he wouldn't have gotten the ticket?

Brent Musburger is the most famous person from my hometown and we didn't get open container laws here until this year so I'm going to let Brent slip by this time because he did it out of habit.

The only way the story could've been better:

"The driver slammed on the brakes and Brent swallowed the beer bottle thereby forever losing his ability to speak."

If there's a God he won't. You know a complete dikface like Brent would just explain the obvious over & over. "Ya gotta like Brazil coming in here, folks. You know they've won more World Cups.....yadda, yadda."

I don't think open containers in moving vehicles are legal anymore in Texas. IIRC, the law changed over a decade ago.

It did, but it's not enforced. The only way you can get pulled over is if the officer sees you drink out of an alcohol container. If it's in a cup (and not a beer can), you're golden, so in this case, Brent was just stupid.

He was in town to watch Nebraska vs. Pitt.

My god it's amazing that he didn't have a whole freakin bottle of Wild Turkey emptied.

(then again, I've been saying that Brent has been drinking on air for years now)

He was the passenger? I'm sorry but the only stupid thing that he did was take a drink while a cop was watching. Drinking beer in the passenger seat is not only a good idea, but a law when driving to or from a game.

Officer actually wanted to charge him with violating the "No Brent Musberger in Nebraska Act", but that legislation is still bottled up in committee!
