Bocafan is right.

I'm sorry Europeans, but your ignorance don't have limits, according to all you, the only 2 national teams from South America which make cry your national teams, are just Brasil and Argentine.

And did you know that Brasil has 50% of all the population of South America? both brasil and argentine territorially speaking, represent 60% of South America.

And someone said that i;m chilean, certainly i'm not chilean, but let me say you that Chile was third in a world cup

What I was trying to say basically was, is incredible that a small continent as South America produce so much talent, and that's the reason of why we're the kings of soccer.

I don't have idea what's the population of Europa, i could guess that about 730,894,078, and in europe there are about 80 countries, i'm just guessing, and if you compare those high number with what europe has won, that's a poor % of productivity

look, in South America, there are just 10 countries, and 3 of we have won world cups, Brasil, Argentine and uruguay, that means 30% of South America knows what means to win a world cup ( when I say South America i'm referint to Conmebol, obviously that excluye to guyanas and other islands o little countries)

While in Europe there are about 80 countries, and just 4 of 5 of you have won world cups, that's a very poor % of productivitty, something like 0.0625 % of productivy.

So compare, population, size of territory, and what each continent has won

oh really!! thats what the thread about is it?
Here was me thinking it was some mouthy no-mark doing a thread titled "dear europeans ,south america is ur daddy" .
Fans of poorer quality south american teams like to place themselves under brazils umbrella and start beating their chest.
The next best team Argentina are nothing special...Id like to see a list of so-called GREAT current south american players from outside the two main countries.

Quote:
Why do you guys wanna subtract Brasil? Brasil must have ~50% (or more?) of S.America's population .
Brazil are the only south american country who have done anything lately.
Subtract their record and the south american record is very grim indeed.

Quote:
You critisize him for jumping on Brasil's back, but I dont see you guys listing too many great players from Malta or Luxembourgh.

Yeah great logic ,enstein .
I dont recall being the one who made claims about "Europe being your daddy" did I??

Europe has 50+ teams .Its not like in south america where you've got just the 2 giant teams and 8 nobodies is it??

Quote:
PS... How many world Cups has a European country won outside of Europe?
South americas record is all about Brazil like I said before (and argentina to a lesser extent) .None of the other teams count for anything in WC's wherever you host them .

why do you want to take out argentina and brazil from south america.........ok try taking out italy and germany from europe

brazil alone can take out all of europe

fact right here: south america > europe

Im not against south American teams, partly because of Riquelme, however;
The spanish squad is amazing,

Raul
Fernando Torres
Yeste
Reyes
Tamudo
Diego Tristan
Morientes
Valeron
Vicente
Joaquin
Xavi
Guti
Jesuli
Luque
Xabi Alsonso
Baraja
Albelda
Marchena
Gonzalo
puyol
Del Horno
and more....

this is a serious squad
and im not including, holland, Italy, Germany
England, france or portugal.

South America is just, a profit market, with great players and no money.

Correction ,Brazils might call themselves the "kings of football" ,but the rest of the continent are far from being kings.
If you assembled a south american squad 95% of the squad would be either brazil or argentina. You;re all jumping on brazils bandwagon to attach yourselves to their glory when the in actual fact the rest of you count for jack sh1t in the grander scheme .

Uruguay

2002 first round
1998 DNQ
1994 DNQ
1990 2nd round
1986 2nd round
1982 DNQ
1978 DNQ

thats their record in the last 3 decades and they never even made a QF or a SF .
you're telling me they count for anything??
even when they made it past the group stage in 86 and 90 they only finished 3rd in the group and scraped through .

Argentina is nothing special? That's nonsense. I mean the quality of their NT fluctuates over time like anyone's but, on average, over the past century they've been at least on the same level as the best European nations.

France are the only European country who have done anything lately. And they've won less (lately) than Brazil.

Yup and only 4 have ever won a World Cup. Compared to South America's 3. Ooo... big difference.

Uruguay is a nobody? They've won two World Cups.

Surinam is nobody? They've produced more great players than many European countries.

Apparently you need a history lesson.

I was thinking that was a debate about the CURRENT state of play .
Argentinas last world cup outing resulted in a first round loss I dont think that they're special. I didnt say that they are bad just not overly brilliant .So basically it all comes down to Brazil again to boost south americans record from the huge failings of the other teams.

France and Brazil are the teams that won the recent cups .But UEFA supplied a vast bulk of the teams that reached the latter stages .Only argentina and brazil out of south america have made it into the last 8 in recent tournies.
The rest of the south american contingent bomb out in the first round or maybe sneak into round two before the inevitable loss.

.

currently they're nothing .They struggle to qualify let alone win the cup.
