    Basically zzzzzzzz but some positive-sounding tidbits from Goff in today's live chat on wapo:

    DC UNITED STADIUM
    When do you expect we'll finally hear more about DCU's stadium quest? How long do you feel they're willing to stay at RFK. Could this be the finals season before team either moves or suspends operations?

    STEVEN GOFF: The club won't discuss the search publicly, but the primary target seems to be Buzzards Point in D.C. Hopefully we'll learn more soon. Baltimore is an option, but the club doesn't want to leave the immediate Washington area. As far as I know, suspending operations is not on the table.

    DC UNITED OWNERSHIP/INVESTMENT
    Have you heard anything about Chang finding any of the additional investment he has said he requires in order to move forward with a stadium project?

    STEVEN GOFF: One good independent source tells me that DCU is close to adding local investors. A DCU source says the process is continuing but nothing is imminent. We'll see....​

    Why cant DC just build their new stadium on the current RFK site. I mean, if they tore down RFK and built right there it would be perfect. There is a metro stop, fans are familiar. It would just make sense to me instead of the burbs or Baltimore. I just dont get it...

    I don't see that the numbering is the problem. I believe the issue is we still have News in the title. The title should be changed to Stadium Speculation and Truthiness XXV: The Secret Word is... ZZZZzzZZzz.

    I will boycott this thread until such time as the title is changed!

    There is apparently a building at the junction of North, South, and East Capitol Streets that is going unused... We could knock it down and have the coolest vista of the Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, reflecting pool, and Lincoln Memorial...

    So if the federal government shuts down, can DC make a quick unilateral move and change their status or just go ahead and claim all land? I'll be in Lot 8 with a shovel. ******** the soil tests. What are the feds gonna do?

    So judging by the secret word of "ZZZZzzZZzz," am I to believe that United is looking into the viability of airports as potential stadium sites?

    A lot of Southwest flights depart from BWI. There's a lot of undeveloped land near that airport too.
