Why would they have to do that? Fielding a punt with your back to the wall is not a dangerous situation.
You're right, my bad. I meant if they were kicking from near that goal line and the returner was running towards that end zone. They'll probably still let it play out but I will say this....as a Michigan fan I'd be upset if we try and run our uptempo offense and we're having to stop and switch sides half the time. The whole thing doesn't sound very well thought out to me.
I have to say that, while it's cool to have a college football game at Wrigley Field, the way the field was set up is a complete joke & the "new rules" for the game are going to look dumb-ass, especially on TV!!
Tough day for my boys Is it just me or does anyone else think that if they're ramming the ball down your throat maybe a 3 man line isn't the best line of defense?
Lose-lose situation for you guys.... beat them and you help Ohio State or Michigan State get to the Rose Bowl. Lose and well.....
Is there NO MORE doubt that Greg Robinson & the entire defensive staff MUST GO? In my 30+ years as a Michigan football fan, I've never seen a worse defense...and I also blame RR for not recruiting that side of the ball. I have to think that Bo himself is rolling over in his grave, at the sight of this embarassment!!
At this point we only want wins but that's in the rear view mirror at this point. Here's a GREAT read for all Wolverine fans. Don't despair... http://www.freep.com/article/201011...ights-what-he-sees-on-film-from-football-team
Now that's Badger football. Only one pass in the second half and we still scored 24. Wisconsin O-line for Heisman!
Congrats but don't get too excited. The Podunk Community College intramural team could score on our D.
Good article. I'm glad that he understands our woes on defense are down to inexperience. Now, who gets blamed for the 7 or 8 freshman on the field is a different story. But, let's not pretend that it is just about coaching. The Wisconsin game is frustrating, because we could have been more competitive. We miss a chip-shot FG to make it 7-3, and then we turn it over when we could have made it 10-10. Then, late in the game, we can bring it to less than 2 scores, and we turn the ball over again. Frustrating. Bright spot... D-Rob is first NCAA player ever to throw AND rush for over 1,500 yards. Oh, and he turned 20 years old in mid-September.
20% chance. We can score, but we need to get some fortunate turnovers and a quick lead to put you guys under some early pressure. If it stays even or we fall behind in the first half, Tressel (like Bielema) won't take enough risks to allow us back into the game - even if we play amazingly.
OSU week and, frankly, haven't been PSYCHED for it since 2006! Wonder if this is how the Suckeye Nation felt under John Cooper...though, under Cooper, they did beat everybody BUT U-M, LOL!!
Nah. OSU was good in the years they were losing to Bitchagain. You guys just plain suck. Question. What were you people thinking when Wisky put up 83 on an Indiana team you had to score late to beat? Lemmie guess..... Shoelace for Heisman?

Seeing as you are an Ohio State fan, it's not that surprising your favorite win against Michigan is by a different team.
Go ahead, we never said they had a 0% chance of winning. Your ilk was spouting that shit in '69 too.....
OSU victories over Meatchicken are becoming so commonplace it was nice to see a D2 team get in on the act.
