I am a huge grammar nazi, as much as I try to not be, but cut her a friggin break. When I make the effort to speak French, I am far from perfect, but I would absolutely hate to catch the flack that she just did for a typing mistake.

When someone writes a thesis on here, then they can be knocked for grammar....christ.

 

Three things...

1) We picked on her poor diction and not her poor grammar.

2) If you want to claim to be a H.G.Z., you stop your comma splicing. Or, at the very least, you should capitalize Nazi and Christ.

3) It's called "taking the piss". People need to pull the stick out and realize she came in here bitching and moaning before Stilts and myself "brutally attacked her".

first of all, it wasn't a typing mistake. it was an error in diction that should be pointed out. second, you're quite right that the only attention that would rightly be given to the error is to point it out, charitably.

i tried to do that, but i think she missed it.

if you think her pointed remarks about Dirk Kuijt's uncertainty about the Liverpool situation and her Europa League remark were completely innocent, then i don't know what to say.

and the fact that she is female shouldn't have any impact on anything. we should be polite to everyone, even people who slag the club we support.

Okay, fine....we should stop insulting her misuse of the English language.

She made a comment about Kuyt. Kuyt allegedly said something different on television there than what was in the papers. I don't buy it, but it really is dumb to hang her out to dry over it.

Back on the topic of Liverpool transfer news, what do you all think of the rumors that Crouchie could return?

I don't know what truth there is to any of these transfers but collectively they seem like a plan to consolidate our position in 7th and avoid relegation. Not a plan to get back into contention for the league. So let's hope that most of them are wrong.
