One other interesting dynamic about urban/inner city/black/aa soccer; my (ahem, Chicago) grade school was predominantly black and didn't have a soccer team (I played in suburban AYSOlandia). Now it does thanks to the huge growth of the latino community. It will be interesting how much soccer-related cross-pollination will occur as Blacks and Mexicans live in increased proximity.
