State of the Forum Poll - Soccer in the USA
Message from BigSoccer All - We are asking all forum members to give us some feedback about the state of our forums. We would be grateful if you would take a few moments to vote in the poll, but more importantly post your thoughts about how things are going in this forum. Anything is fair game - the moderators, the quality of the discussion, the amount of traffic, the forum structure, etc. Voting is useful, but we are most interested in ways you think BigSoccer and specifically this forum can be improved -- what we are doing right or wrong, and your thoughts generally about your use of this forum.
Thank you for any feedback you can provide!

Re: State of the Forum Poll - Soccer in the USA
It is not a failure of the forum. The forum used to be my news outlet, where one could share news of the day. We kind of grew old, and the main page is kind of static with blogs that stays there for days. That doesn't hook me. I have to search for where I find it confortable and entertaining. I can't find it anymore. Some here help kill WSD, but before that, it was also a way I'd come back and read posts online on the subject. So, now I download "espndeportes" and "world football phone-in". And I find them in a different topics or themes from BS.

Re: State of the Forum Poll - Soccer in the USA
In the last few months, there haven't been as many threads in this forum that I found really interesting as there were last spring and summer, but that's a cyclical thing and I expect that it will come back.
Right at the moment, new threads are not appearing at all that great a rate. Of course, I am partly to blame for that myself, as I have only started two threads in Soccer in the USA during the six months since I joined. However, both of those sank like a stone, so I can see that the sort of historical things that I started threads about aren't exciting to all that many people.
I don't mind the "extreme" posters like whip. I tend to disagree with what they say, but I think they're entertaining and I enjoy them. What does bother me on BS is the posters who unload on other ethnic groups, but you don't see nearly as much of that in Soccer in the USA as you do in some other forums.
During the five years or more that I read BS threads before I joined, Soccer in the USA was my favorite forum and it has continued to be so.

Re: State of the Forum Poll - Soccer in the USA
do moderators forget about taking infractions off when time is due?
i got an infraction like 2 months ago for talking about jim rome (wish espn would do the same thing to him when he talks about soccer).
now i want to open new threads in different sub-forums and i cant...
how does that work?
it only happens to me or to anybody?
where are the mods?
