I'm appalled at someone choosing Seedorf (or Sneijder) as examples of ppl who can't pass. Or Milan as a team who's not technically brilliant. It's like Pirlo and Ronaldinho stopped knowing how to handle the ball. Milan has problems to be fully competitive but lacking people who are technically brilliant is not one of them.

As for Inter... yes I think they can pass the ball. In this video lots of brilliant passes. wow one would have thought that without xavi and iniesta accurate passing was not possible...

btw the answer to your question is: No Messi is not good just because of Xavi and Iniesta (don't get me wrong, great players). He's great on his own.

But the exact same thing can be said about the entire Barcelona squad. It took a miracle goal (set up by Messi) to beat Chelsea.

He'd fit right in at Forest. We play the same system, although not quite to the same standard.....

He would fit in though. And Championship defences would struggle.

I don't understand what that has to do with anything.

He'd do fine in the Prem, but defenses are WEAK when defending his "brilliant" runs in La Liga, he simply walks through defenses, it's stupid.
But when he was 18 he absolutely tore apart an even better Chelsea defense. He didn't play poorly against Chelsea because they were are a typical English defense. Other reasons were much more important.

Messi could be good where ever ... He has ball skills (liga), Speed (EPL) and good reading games mindset (SerieA)

But of course, guys like Henry, Iniesta, Xavi would "trigger" Messi's strength better ...

Chemistry between players is like chemistry between man to woman - its
' NOT a UNIVERSAL' kinda thing. For example,
- Zidane played very well with Ronaldo, Del Piero, and some extend to Raul, but he bare made it with his French team mate Henry! Or ..
- Seedorf/ Pirlo get well with Kaka but not with Ronaldinho.
- Zico, Socrates Falcao & Elder were ok, but not Ronaldinho, Kaka & Zeberto +Juninho/Alex

dinho is looking better in the milan system, and is finally starting to run at some people again and getting some chemistry with other milan players (1-2 backheel in the corner with seedorf was exquisite versus madrid). that's neither here nor there, though. the original question is would messi succeed elsewhere...i will tell you this, once he got his feet on the ground, I am confident he would thrive in italy on a good team just as much as in spain.

bottom line is barca is actually for their high standards, on some poor form. iniesta isn't quite as sharp (lost of loose balls against rubin) after his injury yet, and messi has hit a little bit of a dry spell...all that proves is every player no matter how good, in any system, has periods where their form drops. they're human after all . they'll get their full form back soon enough though.

I agree. If Messi played in a league where he faced Chelsea 38 times a year, he would be less successful than in La Liga.

Repped !!! No defense in the EPL is like Chelsea. Messi would tear many of them apart.
