I have real confidence in him makin a place in the 2014 WC, he is the next Lugano, and he will be captain of the national team, its matter of time. I just hope that Genoa management give some play time, a loan in the next two years would be great.

If I'm to trust a Nigerian to a MRI scan I will trust the MRI scan. MRI scans don't do politics.

Chukwudi underwent 3 MRI tests and passed them all (including one made by FIFA). Either he is a medical wonder or Chukwudi is off by several years. He may be 20 or 21, but never 25. It is also possible that he lied that he was 18 several years back to make it to the 18-20 squad, when he was in fact 15-16 at the time.

I have no doubt that Chukwudi is overage (as well as Okoro), but nowhere as much as 7-8 years as some people suggest. It would be medically almost impossible.

I agree that Okoro is not needed to this u17 squad, as he was less than influential. However Chukwudi has been a real rock at the back.
I read in another forum that 4 players from the Nigerian team were picked at random to be MRI scanned (wrist) by FIFA, and that Chukwudi and Okoro may not have been included. Have yet to confirm the source.

Supposedly UAE had to drop players from their sqaud as well prior to the tournament.

Guys, no more discussions of scans and possible overage players in this thread please. I won't ask again.

Start another thread if you like, but this thread is for discussing the actual matches and the progression of the tournament.

Colombia - Turkey - I also think Colombia will clinch it.
Italy - Switzerland - Italy can win it, but I'm betting on the Swiss, cuz they deserve the finals.
Spain - Uruguay - Just can't see Uruguay pulling off an upset.
Nigeria - Korea - Korea will be tired after playing the 1/8, while Nigeria had a walk in the park which they played in pedestrain mode with New Zealand; Nigeria is the only team with the same speed as Korea and match Korea everywhere else... I can't see Nigeria not winning.

nothing against the Italians or anyone else they might face but I would just love to see Switzerland win the whole thing. Have they ever won anything big in football? Would be great to have a new face on the scene
