Re: The EPL Is Boring - Discuss
I would say over the course of a season the Premier League is very predictable, in so much as being able to predict the 'top four' and so on. That's not to say that there aren't exciting matches and the occasional upset, though.
I don't know if the Premier League is an more or less predictable than Serie A or La Liga in that respect but it's certainly a lot more predictable than it's predecessor the old Division One - I think largely it's down to the Champions League and the financial incentives which go with participating in it.
The Bundesliga is my favourite league, and I've really started to take an interest in it over the past two or three seasons. The German fans seem to get a better deal than English fans with regards to atmospheric stadiums, terracing, value for money and so on as well as the unpredictability throughout the League.

Personally, I don't think England's boring in comparison to the other leagues around.
I wouldn't want to be a fan of other teams in France for the last seven years anyway.

Re: The EPL Is Boring - Discuss
I just watch game by game, and I think most are quite interesting. Right now, I'm rooting for Liverpool to get the title, just because they haven't done it for a long time. Anyone will be better than ManU, and I dislike Chelsea almost as much as I dislike Arsenal.
This year, it's been interesting just to figure out every week which games have what effect on the Spurs' position. Unfortunately, for many games, the best result for us is a draw. That way, neither team gains any ground on us. Somehow, though, it just doesn't feel right to cheer for a draw. :-)

I think a salary cap would do wonders for making the league less boring. I mean the top 4 would still probably pull in class players but it would be a much more competitive league. Like Jum said its stupid when Man U who are 1 billion dollars in debt can go out and spend millions on new players. Same with Chelesa who have a debt. Also their chairman just spent 30 million pounds in compensation to fired managers. That is silly.
Fifa are going to come down hard on the English FA and I mean these teams that are in massive debt should have action taken against them.

1. Salary caps need to be agreed upon by every league, it's too much red tape.
2. Did you know that Barcelona are in a lot debt? They're backed by the Catalan government so Barca don't have to worry about debt. There's a crap load of Spanish clubs (Valencia especially) that are in heavy debt at the moment. And then there was Real Madrid's deal with their training ground.

So you'd rather accept silly wages for footballers than potentially troublesome negotiations between the top leagues in Europe? If Spanish clubs can't go bankrupt, then English and Italian and German clubs must also be allowed to spend as much as they want???
