There seems to be a little too much tension around this place and I fear that a good percentage of the anger, creative disgust, and well thought out tantrums might go to waste. So in an attempt to channel all of this in one place for the benefit of all I will offer an "Unofficial vent at the Crew contest"

Rules and instructions:

1. make sure you are logged in and vote to participate in the above poll
2. write your venting masterpiece and post it in this thread before Wednesday, October 10th 2007
3. use of curse words is discouraged, but allowed
4. threats of physical harm, posting of personal data, etc. is prohibited
5. only your first "vent" post will be used, so get it right the first time

An independant group will pick the top five rants submitted then another thread will be posted to let the users of Bigsoccer determine the winner.

Of course, you don't have to participate. You don't even need to care. You can even tell me to go shove an anvil up my *** then skydive into a junkyard filled with sharpened auto parts and starved dobermans. But if you do participate all I ask for a little seriousness. Who knows, maybe someone in charge will stumble upon this and give a ****.

I'm going to break into Crew Stadium, and hang myself by my Crew scarf in one of the offices. Here's my suicide note that I'm planning on leaving:

"Dear Columbus Crew:

How are you? I hope you are fine.

I, however, am not fine. As you can no doubt tell from my hanging here by the ceiling fixture.

YOU'RE THE ONES WHO DROVE ME TO THIS.

I hope you're all happy now that I'm goddamn dead.

In a league where almost everyone makes the playoffs, we've won 1 playoff game in the last 7 years. At best this franchise is treading water while other teams improve. More realistically, we're not as good as we once were and currently have no reason to hope for improvement.
