It damned well better not be for Eddie Pope.

No, whatever Colorado is saving equals what we are paying. So he is costing us less than $100K.

Honestly, I was expecting to see Magee waived today, but with the union, it's pretty hard to waive an injured player.
|
Well, that's found in CBA's in most leagues. Waiving an injured player is a no-no.
The shock for me has worn off somewhat. I wish Wynne had more time to improve his game here in NY/NJ, especially under Arena. If it's a cap move then I understand- especially if Mo's fiending for defensive help. Wynne's speed could be helpful when correcting TFC's defensive miscues.
Hope to see him in a USMNT uni in the coming years. Sad to see him go.

No, I think RSL is paying $100k, NY is paying $100k, and Colorado is out of the picture.

Re: Marvell Wynne - TRADED!
Ives just updated:
"The Red Bulls have traded Wynne to the Toronto FC for a second round pick in the 2008 MLS Draft and a partial allocation, multiple sources within MLS confirmed on Tuesday. The deal reunites Wynne with former Red Bulls coach Mo Johnston, who traded up in in last year’s draft to make him the first player chosen."

Re: Marvell Wynne - TRADED!
WTF??? Better be for 2 first rounders. If it is for 2nd rounder and that partial allocation crap we got screwed again on trade. I don';y like giving up on top pickof draft who is only 21 yrs of age. I don't get it.

Did Mo get Bruce drunk last night? Were they taking shots?

Re: Marvell Wynne - TRADED!
Ives is reporting that we traded Wynne for a 2nd round draft pick and a partial allocation.
We needed the senior roster spot... and I'm assuming we also needed the allocation money?
Yeek. Guess I'll have to go on blind faith here with Bruce and the Bulls. But it doesn't sound like a lot for Wynne.

Re: Marvell Wynne - TRADED!
Too bad. I thought he had nothing but upside.
For now, I will assume that Arena knows what he is doing, and that Wynne didn't fit in his game plan.
