According to ESPN deportes Radio they just anounced Rivaldo will be an MLS player in the next few hours. This has been confirmed by the President of Mexican 1st division team Necaxa who said they were after Rivaldo and MLS jumped ahead and offer Rivaldo 3x more than what they could offer him. Would be an interesting acquisition. He is still deadly in dead ball situations as well. He turns 35 in April, so he may only have a few years left, but hey, RB has unlimited money to burn, so why not?

Indeed it is interesting, I remember reading an article were, then NY/NJ head coach, Bradley said something about feeling the pressure of the fans to go out and sign Rivaldo, but it wasn't in the best interest of the team.

How times have changed . . .

P.S. If Rivaldo is an attacking midfielder, does that mean Arena is going to try the 1-5-4 in MLS?
