Seriously, why would we have to put up with it for the rest of this season? We have new owners. The owners should be muting all sound effects. All of them. As of September 1. No debate.
One can assume, but from what Curt has been telling us, it is the Arrowhead staff that does this. Not the Wizards staff. Hears to hoping no stupid sound effects. Although I admit to missing the train noise
So, if I rent out the ballroom at the Marriott for a wedding reception, do I tell the guests that it's the "Marriott staff" that keeps playing the crappy music and somehow it's not my fault? That's the biggest copout I've ever heard.
I agree Andy and I have heard this excuse from Curt myself. He should no longer have excuses. OnGoal is now the tenant, they should be instructing their host to cut out the sound effects, all of them.
Hey now. Don't shoot the messenger. I agree with you and Mark on this and I hope it stops. But I'm not getting my hopes up.
Was it the 2004 Open Cup Final where there were no sound effects or music? Or am I thinking of the 3-0 playoff win over San Jose that same year? One of those games had no music or sound effects - and it was awesome.
It was the open cup. I just re-watched it last week. That was so sweet. "Hey, Chicago, would you like fries with that?"
Goooooo was still there for everyone to enjoy. I'm starting to agree that the drum is way too loud. I had multiple people tell me they couldn't make out anything we say over the drum or they would've joined in. I tried to get Alan to adjust his volume on whether or not he was playing with us or on his own, but he predictably took it as an insult and got pissy. Just a thought I've heard repeated over and over again.
We had the window to our booth open and I thought the drum sounded great. It adds a lot of effectiveness to any and all chants. I'd say the last thing you want to do is cut back on the drum.
Jeff, I was getting pissy because you just wouldn't shut up. I don't mind constructive criticism. I just mind when it doesn't stop. And thanks, Chad. I've been workin' on it all season.
