none of those salary numbers will ever be released for the safety of the players. aka kidnap & ransom
Wouldn't want the kidnappers to find out they have a lot of money... Now they just think they're poor like everyone else..
I don't think argentina's salaries are very high. The highest salaries outside of europe are in qatar and mexico if not mistaken.
Jorge Vergara has stated that he spends about $18 million per year on player salaries for CD Guadalajara.
Doesn't matter how high the salaries are, the key there would be to actually pay their players on a consistant basis.
That's a good 'back of the envelope' figure. The rosters have 28 players, and the cap/budget is around $3mil. In addition to average salary, the median salary number would be interesting for all these leagues. It would help to filter out the superstars.
as you most probably quoted one of your own numerous posts on this subject, you should know the answer to the CCC one. It is a shade under £200,000 a year, or $350,000. League One was around £67,000 and League Two £49,000 ($117,000 & $86,000)
Is the current MLS cap really that high? I haven't been following it too closely but thought it was closer to $2 million. Or are you allowing extra in estimates for the "over the max salary" and partially off cap players like EJ and Ruiz?
Yeah, I wanted to be more realistic. I want to say that it's been around $2mil for the regular roster, then with all the P-40/Gen-A exemptions, sponsor exemptions, etc. a high ball figure would be around $3mil. Of course, in MLS all team budgets are equal, just some teams are more equal than others.......
Current MLS salary budget is under $2 million. And it only counts for the 18 man senior roster. Which means the current average salary in MLS is a about $110,000. I don't think the clubs are significantly over the cap even with the exception players included. It seems the numbers published in Soccer America supported that. I seem to recall that LA Galaxy were still around $2 million even with Donovan's salary included. And Whit Haskell of Chivas USA recently stated that his club was within the salary budget. And it was widely percieved that Chivas were way above the cap. I'm sure someone can post those figures again. But that was my recollection.

If it is 10k increase, then the average is $90,000 for MLS. However, MLS expanded the roster to 28 players. That will have a negative impact on the average salary. Well remember that some players actually make way over the cap amount and only a portion of it counts against the cap so the actual average would be over that.. How much would take someone doing some math and knowing all the salaries...
well for Argentina, I'll paraphrase Christian Gomez on the differences between Argentina and MLS. "It's nice that the checks don't bounce."
