Playing against former Barcelona player Alexander Hleb and former Juventus player Christian Molinaro. Nice test ;)

Has he played any games for Germany's youth teams like Fabian Johnson has?

no. Sven Bender and Lars Bender play on his "best" position, probably Germany's biggest talents and already Bundesliga players. He's not good enough.

27' Williams gets beat by Hleb who puts in a cross to the top of the box, the player shoots parried by the keeper straight to Pavel Progrebniyak who doesn't even hit the target from 5 yards out.

28' Freiburg has a chance from outside the box goes agonizingly wide.

32' Williams wins a FK in his own half.

    33' Williams wins a 1v1 against Hleb.

oops, our boy got caught out a bit on that one...

Williams marking the forward from a throw in on his side...SCF winger is beaten on the throw as the Stuttgart winger runs in across the top of the box...Williams a little hesitant in getting out to cover and the Stuttgart winger passes into the box to the forward Williams was marking (help late getting over) who then makes the diagonal pass to the backside striker for a goal.

If I'm the coach I'm saying "that's the winger's fault son, but you gotta make up your mind and get over quick..."

    young player's mistake

America scores! F*ck Yeah! Oh wait, it's actually Marica.
Ciprian Marica slots one home to make it 1-0 Stuttgart

HT 1-0 to Stuttgart, Ricardo Osorio is on the bench for Stuttgart so really it's 1-0 USA over Mexico :D

Williams subbed out in the 87'. Tactical substitution: replaced by forward Reisinger.

    Match finished, 0-1.

    Yes :D

I just can't see him getting into the youth squad. And if he doesn't even manage this, then the German A-team is of course even more far away. Apart from that, I know that he would play for the United States if he was nominated. So why not give him a chance?

Because Steve Cherundolo & Jonathan Spector are better RB's? How about Fabian Johnson? Do you think he'd be interested in a US MNT call-up?

I'm actually talking about a youth team. In Germany it would be the U21, in the US U23 I suppose. Of course, I don't think he's good enough for the US MNT at the moment.

Don't know about Fabian Johnson's view on the US national team.

That kid playing for the NE Revolution as right back is going to be better than all these guys in a couple of years. Very athletic, right attitude, very mobile. That kid is going to be a star.

This post reminds me of this.

The post was somewhat out of the blue and not relevant to the gameday thread even though though Kevin Alston is indeed a stud.:D
