Straight from the mouth of his college coach to me, he's a pretty laid-back guy. He said the red card in the Confed Cup and the outburst afterward was extremely uncharacteristic.
You are talking about the guy who booted a prone Ruiz as hard as he could in the upper arm intentionally, right? The guy who has managed to be ejected in 2006, 2007, and 2009 from a league match? A guy with 34 career cautions in MLS? A guy who visibly blows his top fairly frequently? Right? By comparison, Chad Marshall has 6 cautions and 1 ejection in his career, and I can only recall seeing him react once (ironically, his only career ejection). Yes, Clark's ejection at the Confed Cup was a joke. But he pretty much paces Danny O'Redcard in the disciplinary category. He's a walking timebomb.
I don't think this was posted, but in actual news from a few days ago, anyone remember the StarKick commercials from 2004 or so? Anyway, the kid in those commercials:
Apparently in about 3 hours there's going to be a meeting out in Kansas for final approval of the Wizards stadium. If and when approved, construction could "begin immediately". http://www.hillcrestroadblog.com/2010/01/wyandotte-county-calls-special-meeting.html
DC signs an old Australian striker who thinks his new team is still relevant: http://goal.com/en-us/news/1110/maj...ed-scoops-up-australian-striker-danny-allsopp
Unanimous approval of the KC stadium deals. Apparently they're going to start work at the site at 1pm central tomorrow afternoon.
Could somebody tell him all he really has to do is go back to Houston and he's got a decent shot at being a starter @ the World Cup?
Collins John signs with Fire Bwahahahhahahahhaahhahaha...... Snicker... snort! Maybe McBride's trying to give us a little under the table gift! This is FANTASTIC! If you dont follow Fulham.. think Jeff Cunningham with severe delusions of self. Of course, there's ALWAYS the case he's had professional help.. but if he did, we should get that name for Eddie Johnson

If I remember right, John was one of the forwards that stole, for lack of better terminology, minutes from McBride early on in his Fulham career. I wouldn't insult Jeffro with the comparison. Given his track record post-Fulham, this seems like a complete waste for the Fire...excellent. I imagine McBride reading this news and shaking his head, mumbling under his breath. Columbus wasn't good enough for ya, huh?
I don't recall seeing this tidbit posted here, but per the page on the Portland Timbers MLS site about the renovation of PGE Park... As much as I loved PGE and the Timbers when I was out there, this pretty much =
If Baltimore had a track-record of exploiting stadium issues to steal other cities' teams, then I'd be really worried if I were a DC fan. Wait a second . . .
