subside sports will have them soon enough and you won't have to go through all the hassle. Plus, they take credit cards.

as for the kits, the sponsor is really distracting me more than any of the color combinations.

I am *not* looking forward to people attempting to read German off my chest.

And I e-mailed the fanshop, and they said they're still trying to set up a credit card system.

As for Subside Sports, I want the shirt, and want it now ;) (Meaning within a reasonable shipping time of Thursday afternoon EDT.)

i hear that. I saw an early mock up of the "expected" werder kits and they were much better. Especially the away shirt, it was a simple white shirt with a green neck and faint green pinstripes down the longitude of the shirt spaced about 4 inches apart. I was really looking forward to that.

    You mean these ones:

On Friday the new ones will be revealed. What nerves me is, that the new sponsor "Credit Mutuel" plans to put a stupid slogan "So geht Bank heute"
(That´s how you do banking today) on the shirts. If this really happens
and it is likely I won´t buy a shirt.

Aren't the shirts revealed in...14 hours, 20:00 CEST?

And now that I think about it, I like the explanation by "media" on my last link: the line translates to "this is how banks are today" as in "we just lost our old sponsor so we're stuck with this" - I might wear the shirt as a political statement...

This is probably asking an awful lot, but would someone be able to paraphrase KA's explanation of 'so geht bank heute'? -- or the Werder.de article about it (since it is unlikely that an English page will follow...)

I would like to know this as well.

Plus, the orange number is putrid, and I can't tell whether the rings around the sleeves and neck are dark green or black, ergo the shirt does not match anything in my wardrobe except my white skirt, which I shouldn't wear with a football kit anyway.

And, remember the fanshop doesn't accept credit cards, only bank transfers!

He indroduces the new sponsor and the slogan "so geht bank heute".

"In life there are changes. At Werder players came and leave, this season
our old sponsor Cititbank Germany moved to (got bought by) Credit Mutuel,
one of the biggest banking companies accross Europe. Credit Mutuel wants
to offer their customers best service with modern technologies. That´s why
thei coorporate image is "so geht bank heute" (that´s how banking is done today). On the website www-so-geht-bank-heute.de you will find interesting
offers during the seasons. For example small clubs can be supported financially. So come and vivit www-so-geht-bank-heute.de from time to time."

    (Shortened and only literally translation)

    @Dustyvinyl:
Currently there are only a few player names available. Moreno is not yet available, because he just stated yesterday, which shirt number he wants to have. He prefared choosing a high one and wears this season the "39".

    Thank you Eisen.
I like these kits as well as last years... unfortunately no credit cards allowed as mentioned earlier (thanks for the reminder, Rustynation)

As someone who was fairly critical of the new kits, I have to admit, they actually look quite good ON the players.

North American fans will be disappointed to learn that Nike's NA online store will not be carrying them and that their European store does not ship overseas.

I'm definitely waiting until the second half of the season to buy a shirt - maybe the fanshop will actually accept credit cards by then.

The Shirts look good, but that is among the stupidest Sponsor Slogans since the Mister*Lady that FCN had a while back.

"So geht Geldgier heute" would be appropriate....

Well.. after only one week, we've already sold 5,000 shirts According to the Werder.de

Great news because the shirts are already more popular than last year.

I think I might be able to get a shirt in Barcelona; I hope they can do name and number too. The Adidas store on the Champs-Elysees can personalize shirts, so I'm hoping European Nike stores can as well. The Niketown in Boston doesn't, and also doesn't carry Werder shirts. I also can't get a personalized USMNT shirt either, and now I want one.

My home shirt arrived today (just in time for the Bayern match.) Has gotten some good looks from passers-by.

Have had to explain 'so geht bank heute' to two people so far.
