A few year ago, we had a football player get suspended for punching a police horse Blazing Saddles style. If you keep talking s*** about the Harvard on the Hocking, you could be next.

Besides, as my fellow Bobcat already mentioned, Bradley was only there for a year, coaching the men's soccer team until it got Title IX'ed and left him unemployed.

OK, it's official now (according to ESPN). It will be in SLC....Rio Tinto's stadium at 9:00pm local time, which should be 11:00pm Eastern.

Maybe Bradley is factoring in the playing surface, which will be better in Salt Lake City in February than Columbus.

Playing surface? It snows much more in SLC than in Columbus, my friend. Most likely they'll have to melt the snow or play with a yellow ball.

I was thinking strictly about average temps, which are a little higher in SLC.

Average temperature means jack shit, especially when you consider that SLC is in the friggin' mountains, where at any given moment it can be anywhere between 70 and -30 in February (OK, that may be a slight exaggeration).

Regardless, the growing season will have been over in BOTH locales for nearly 5 months. Ain't NOTHIN' gonna be green without significant help (like the massive heaters and tarp from the first time it was in Columbus).

From the comments on Ives' initial entry on the topic...

Anybody have any insight into this they'd want to share? Is the Crew/HSG to blame here? I don't know anything about a revenue sharing disagreement..but we haven't hosted anything US Soccer related since 2005 (except Open Cup games).

If true I hope the US lose and Bradley gets fired. He's the worst coach the USSF has ever hired.

Hey, he's looked really good beating powerhouses like Cuba and all those Caribbean islands with more turtles than people.

I never thought I'd see the day I'd be rooting for Mexico, but taking this game out of the one place in the US that the Tri absolutely hate and fear is the most shortsighted decision imaginable.

But then Bradley, forever hopelessly tainted by his brief affiliation with that suburb of Nelsonville down where it's always 1969, is worthless anyway.

Where can I get a Mexico shirt cheap?

But I think this falls to Jack Warner's toadie Sunil Gulati.

Still, the US is so dominant that only an act of God could keep them out of the finals. CONCACAF is simply no competition.

If this goes down, Mr. Gulati better check under his car for a pipe bomb anytime he goes driving somewhere.

Listen up, Archer. One more comment like that, and you are likely to find yourself tied to a tree on College Green where you will suffer the indignity of a public hackeysacking. Sure, being pelted wth hackeysacks isn't nearly as painful and deadly as a stoning, but I'd bet you'd find it REALLLLY annoying.

Typically, that would be the worst punishment possible for a man. For Bill, though, the attack of 19-year old leftists walking about wearing Che Guevara t-shirts and promoting socialism might do him in.

Plus, the two kids playing bongos.

Is that how Solich hides himself from his next DUI?

For the record, that might do me in as well.

So is now when we start rooting for Sigi to take over the USMNT? Sure, if Seattle doesn't end up hiring him, we won't get that allocation money, but man I think Sigi would be perfect to coach the Nats.

Unfortunately, that would mean we would see even less of Robbie Rogers, Brian Carrol, Chad Marshall, William Hesmer, etc...

If the game is in SLC then it is another Sunil Gulati Crime against US Soccer.

Nothing like having a game much closer to the border.

I expect the crowd will be 50 - 50 or maybe even worse for the Evil side.

ESPN Deportes has again reiterated that the game will be held at the RioT stadium , If this happens we are in serious trouble.

Don't you remember, FF, that the only reason Solich was passed out behind the wheel of a parked car is because someone put the date rape drug in his drink?

So just because some visiting sexual predator from Oxford saw an unattended girlie drink and spiked it without knowing that our football coach apparently drinks girlie drinks, doesn't mean he's a drunk driver.

Well, unless you're the judge who laughed him out of court when he proposed the date rape drug theory.

This thread now top story on MLSRumors. Cherry-picking of posts - obviously, not the Frank Solich related ones. Nothing about Frank the Tank is a rumor - that's 100% fact.
