Sweet Revenge that our win against the Scum was the nail that took out Lalas...

Exactly. Huckerby, Alvarez, Cochrane and the expansion Quakes got themselves a couple of scalps. :D

Maybe they'll hire Wynalda as GM and Arena as coach next?

    Shown the door?

The only directions the LA team knows is the basement.

As they say...the rats are always the first to leave a sinking ship.

    HAHAHA THIS IS AWESOME!

And the thing that makes this even sweeter is the fact that their last game was a loss against the Quakes :p.

The only negative to this is that the fallacy may actually hire some competent replacements. :(

As mentioned in another forum, Cobi becomes the first American-born black head coach.

As bad as it turned out for Lexi and Ruud, it's ten times WORSE for Cobi. He's staying!

Since they take credit for the 2005 relocation, I guess the Quakes get props for this latest development.

It looks like Alexi Lalas' former duties will now be performed by interim-GM Tom Payne on the business side, and by Director of Soccer Paul Bravo on the soccer side.

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!!

Ssswwweeeeaaaatttt! Earthquakes win has caused turmoil amongst the rats. I rather enjoyed having Alexi in there as I definately despised him, not so with Cobi though. I have a hard time rooting for his failure. In fact I wouldn't mind haveing him be our assistant coach as I have never though Ian Russel brings much to the table for our team.

This is great! This just made my Monday. And that's tough to do.

Keep bringing in big international names to coach your MLS club and use up two-thirds of your salary cap on three players. I'm sure that formula will work sooner or later...NOT!!:p

Re: [SQR] "Lalas, Gullit shown door by Galaxy"

Please! They are replacing Ruud Gullit with Cobi "Half a Man" Jones. gAlexi is going to be replaced by his understudy with Paul Bravo pitching in. Bravo is allegedly responsible for their recent personnel moves.

    I'm going to predicted that:
    • the evil, cheating, water-stealing, smog-breathing galactoposers continue their epic collapse!
    • They hire a new GM during the off-season.
    • They hire a new head coach during the off-season and Cobi gets the sack.
    • They have a general cleaning out of players during the off-season.
    • Narcisssus leaves. (Maybe before the end of the season.)
    • El Pedito leaves. (Almost certainly before the end of the season.)

They suck and they know it!! Ha Ha Ha!!!! I love their pain!!

If we could somehow finish ahead of the evil, cheating, league-favored, filth-eating, water-stealing, smog-breathing, piss-drinking galactowankers I will be extremely happy!!!

    Yeow!!!!

    FQ@#$% el-lay! FQ@#$% el-lay! FQ@#$% el-lay! FQ@#$% el-lay! FQ@#$% el-lay! FQ@#$% el-lay! FQ@#$% el-lay! FQ@#$% el-lay! FQ@#$% el-lay! FQ@#$% el-lay!

    GOOOOOO QUAAAAAAAAKES!!!!! :D

5-4 and winning the cup in their house is still the best feeling ever. This has now moved into my number 2 sweetest moment in MLS history.

After the Earthquakes defeated the fallacy at Spartan Stadium yet again during the 2005 regular season, Cobi Jones gleefully joined the visiting fallacian fans in chanting "Houston... Houston...".

    GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!!

I've heard a few interviews with him and while his venom for San Jose is tasty, he's such a low class citizen that I generally just ignored him.

It just warms the cockles to know that the final nail in the coffin was Cochrane's added time goal. He should get some special recognition... maybe a special sign from the supporters group or something. "The boot felt up the butt... of Lexi and Ruud"

Dude! You blaspheme! Bite your tongue! Ian is way cooler than Cobi "Half a Man" has ever been!

Remember, for coaching, it's not about how you played in your youth, it's how you coach when you can't play anymore that matters! And Cobi was a whining, diving, ankle-kicking cheat when he played in MLS. I do not ever want that piece of filth associated with OUR team in any capacity!

What's with questioning Ian's contribution?! People who have attended his soccer camps say that he's an excellent coach.

    GOOOOOOO QUAAAAAAKES!!!!! :D
