Request for help!!!! I think we also need to nominate DMB's goal against Lyon in the CL for YA goal of the year. It was well taken, a great run and in the Champions League. Problem is, I can't find the video. Can anyone turn it up?
See previous page-- that's the plan. Poll will be up beginning of next week to give the BL "3" guys a chance to go something awesome this weekend.
Thanks-- buy I'm looking for his Champions League goal against Lyon (where he laughs afterwards). Great goal.
Found DMB's goal-- too bad it doesn't include the pass (which was excellent). http://www.nelsok.com/video/glasgow_rangers_beasleys_goal_against_lyon_video_clip
OK-- here's what we have for YA Goal of the Year: 1. Adin Brown's goal 2. One Mike Bradley goal 3. One Grover Gobson goal (very well taken, that one) 4. One Charlie Davies goal 5. DMB's goal vs. Lyon in the CL. Please add any more before Monday, as I'll post the poll then in conjunction with closing this thread. Cheers.
According to the Gameday side - Lapira scored on May 28 - Grover Gibson scored the opening goal, his fifth and Rot-Weiss Ahlen clinch the Regionalliga Nord title. - David Yelldell earned a shutout in his final game for Stuttgarter Kickers as they beat Elversberg 2-0.
And Jamie Duffy scored again for Dundalk in Ireland And Kenney Bertz finally got a game at Elversberg (two games ago) and scored
On 6/1 Eddie Gustafsson and Lyn shutout Valerenga 2-0 http://www.lyn.no/index.aspx?mid=1122&type=kampfakta&id=1209333 and on 6/4 Troy Perkins and Valerenga shutout HamKam 3-0 http://fotball.smp.no/stat/index.js...easonId=default&refId=default&vm=false#258338
Thanks for the updates all, and please encourage everyone to vote in the YA Goal of the Year poll. The June results will go into next season's table. Here is this year's final table. I've not included the second division Mexico results in there because we haven't been tracking them all year and I haven't had time to run all that to ground. If we can get some consistent coverage, I'll include them in next year's list. A few points on the final tables. This year brought us an enormous increase in YA results. Last year's final tally was 114 goals and 73 clean sheets. The 114 goals was only 4 more than the year before (last year was the first time we tracked clean sheets). Some of the increase comes from better media coverage of more leagues, but some comes from better US players scoring more goals-- it only takes a few Bradleys on the list with 20 goals to make the numbers get big. With more US keepers moving overseas, I expect us to crack 100 clean sheets next year (although Myhill won't have quite so many shutouts in the Premiership, I don't think). My thanks to all of you who post results here (with links!). It really helps when I'm busy at work and with family. I'll keep the list rolling in the coming year and am going ahead with the addition of WCQ goals/clean sheets for our YAs. Cheers all! Joe
If June 1 is the cutoff, Kenney Bertz's goal should go here, since it came on 5/24 http://de.eurosport.yahoo.com/24052008/30/unterhaching-feiert-4-1-heimsieg-elversberg.html And as far as Primera A players femexfut.org.mx is the best (and official) place to get info
