I was just posting about this in the , and I think there is cause for some mild concern no reason to panic.
We have 14 signed to the senior roster, and 2 signed to the Dev roster (one being Kamara, the other is the unconfirmed signing of Tim Curry - based on gauchoyoungin's claim of being a personal contact).
That gives us 16 players: a starting 11, and 5 subs. ....Isn't that *exactly* what the travel teams look like in MLS?
Furthermore, among the subs we have cover for every position (if you count Salinas as being able to play forward - which I do). Burpo (GK), Curry (D), Pozniak (D, M), Vide (M), Salinas (F). Of course, Pozniak has a slight groin strain, and Curry really hasn't seen the field.
Finally, with the lack of coverage given to MLS in general, I think it is quite possible that we have already signed a few more players to Dev contracts but not made any press releases about it. Maybe not, but I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.
So, FAS, take a deep breath,
stop "killing" our ex-players, and remember that we still have a little bit of time to bring in one or two players more (not to mention the fact that there will be several players available the day after roster compliance, and they will be the players that only just missed the cut for making their teams --- the "best" of the waiver wire guys!
markmcf8 has also promised to do some sleuthing about the roster during the Portland games, so we should have an updated look at the roster after the weekend.
