Canada announces details on men’s pre-Olympic camp -Andrea Lombardo Canada’s men’s U-23 team announced today that it will play two exhibition matches in early March before the CONCACAF Men’s Olympic Qualification Tournament in the United States. Canada will face Westmount College on 4 March and UC Santa Barbara on 7 March. The Westmount College match will be closed to the public. 'We have two very competitive matches that will help in our preparations for the tournament,' says coach Nick Dasovic. 'These games will be used for the staff to make decisions on our starting XI for our first game. We will take these two matches very seriously.' Canada’s men’s U-23 team announced their provisional roster earlier this week, featuring a mix of players attached to North American and European clubs. Dasovic expects to have approximately 20 North American-based players in camp at the start of March; the European-based players will join later in the week. Dasovic has until 10 March to name his final 20-player roster. He is not bound to the 30-man list, so he will be able to select any available players born 1985 or later. Dasovic will also be able to make changes after 10 March for medical reasons. Canada’s round-robin competition in Carson, CA features México (12 March), Haiti (14 March) and Guatemala (16 March). Should they finish amongst the top-two teams in their group, they will advance to the semi-final on 20 March in Nashville, TN (to be played against a team from the other round-robin group). The semi-final winner will advance to the 23 March final and book their ticket for the Summer Olympics in Beijing.

The Guatemalan team is very good. They should easily get out of the group stage. 15 games ; 10 victories ; 2 draws ; 2 defeats (both against Japan)
Those stats really have absolutely nothing to do with them "easily" getting out of the group stage. The Guatemalan team is good but they've had poor recent results at the under-20 or 21 youth levels against Haiti, Canada, & Mexico for that matter.
The Haitian team may be the strongest in the group. Let's wait and see. I am not putting any team down, but I do believe Haiti will finish in the top two. I know the general idea is that north american teams are better than central american teams and central american teams are better than caribbean teams eventhough that has been proven wrong.
David Edgar, Will Johnson and Jonathan B-B have not been released by their clubs and will therefore not participate. Giacomi has signed on with a 3rd Div Norwegian club and has been replaced on the U23 roster with David Monsalve of Toronto FC. Tyler Rosenlund has signed with Toronto FC, he will stay with the U23's however. Nana Attakora-Gyan has been cut and sent back to Toronto FC. Isidro Sanchez of Puebla has been added to the squad list and should stick with the team.

Damn I wish there was somewhere I could get live updates. They're doing a pretty good job as far as I can tell on the Voyageurs board. Still 1-1 in after 81 minutes, but Canada is a man down after a Johnson red card.
I only found the live feed in the 85th minute, but from what I read on the Voyageurs board from much earlier in the game apparently Lensky and Ornoch played really well in tandem.
