Well, hopefully we both run slightly different teams out there, though I don't suppose we'll use many of the reserves owing to the exhibition game. KC was fun to watch tonight for sure.

 

The reason the reserve game is after the main event is so that we don't use all our reserves up in a meaningless exhibition.

If you do that, please unsticky at least one other thread. I hate having to scroll past unused stickies to get to actual content. Let the good stuff float to the top.

 

I win I win! Seitz, as Ellinger said this morning on 1280 the Zone, will be in goal, and Kenny Cutler will be in for Jason Kreis. Don't call me a prophet, just Ellinger is very predictable.

 

This really makes me want to go to this match. I am very curious to see how Seitz does between the posts.

Anyone who is going. Please give us a detailed report.

Yes, but one ticket is good for both matches.

I know this is off topic, but slcboz's avatar freaks me out every time I see it. It reminds me of the plastic see through guy they have in biology classes so you can see all the internal organs, only he's an albino!

 

I'm curious what the opinion of the folks who post here is on the importance of the open cup.

Personally, I think winning the open cup is nearly as important as winning the MLS cup and probably more important than winning the supporters shield.

Does this feeling result from being a fan of the league for a long time, or do most people lose respect for the open cup more and more as the years of fandom progress? Or do you have to be a Fire fan to really care about the open cup, because that's the one that they win, instead of the MLS cup?

I'm not a longtime fan of the league, I didn't even know it existed til RSL came to town. That said, I view winning the OC just as highly as you do.
