Cooper pulled a Dirk and shaved his head once the season ended. Seeing that taint Beckerman with the nats makes me want to throw up.

Cooper was a bit under the weather on the day he left for the camp, sore throat, temperature, etc but travelled anyway. They gave him his own room the first night (so as to prevent exposure to other players)....he hadn't taken any medication (learned that from Man Utd who went ballistic one time he took two tylenol without telling them) but the trainer gave him something the first night and he was feeling much better, though not 100% for the first days sessions. Says its a really good group of guys and he's enjoying the heck out of it so far.

its the Dallas curse. If I'm not mistaken, Kreis' first game with the Nats had him under the weather too. I think he still scored.

but whats wrong with 2 tylenol?

these days with all the drug testing and what have you, Man Utd don't want their players taking anything that they themselves don't administer....apparently the US national team is exactly the same way and appreciated Coopers professionalism in:

    1) notyifing them he was sick prior to leaving Dallas

    2) not taking anything at all to alleviate his symptoms

Here's to hoping he gets to feeling better. Here's to hoping Bradley wises up and either drops Landycakes or lights a fire under his arse to get him to finally earn his spot on this team.

Pardon my ignorance, but when will the U.S. be playing the friendlies?

And who will they be playing?

    Isnt Coop's Dad about 5 10?
How did KC Jr. get to be 6 3' and 210?
He looks like a monster next to the other guys in the pics from the USMNT camp.

Coopers dad has shrunk over the years and although he was never a big goalkeeper he was quick as anyone I've ever seen. The size comes from his wifes side of the family, her dad and brother are both tall. Coopers younger brother (a junior at Jesuit) is about 6'2" at 17....

I've got to say, I am very fired up to see KC Jr. out there and am looking forward to how it all goes the next several years.
In a lot of ways, this is a more exciting time than the past year and the Bruce Arena era.
I am sure a lot of Dallas fans (I am first in line) would like an excuse to take a trip to see the US vs. Mexico in Azteca....

I don't know if you looked at the stats but Cooper is the biggest player in camp at 6'3 210. I thought that Man United were going to convert him to CB when he first signed but this season proved why that didn't happen.

May also want to check the Bigsoccer thread over in USMN&A, which I like for its inclusion of "rumored matches":

    USMNT 2007 Schedule

The USA v MEX game is actually at the new Arizona Cardinals stadium, and there is a rumored match v. Scotland in May.
