Chinese to RBC Roosendaal (NL)
Following daily paper ‘De Telegraaf’ RBC Roosendaal has signed Chinese player Shu Chang. The 25 year old defensive midfielder will be loaned from Shandong Lunen Taishan from the C-League. The Dutch Holland Casino Eredivisie who are currently out of a coach have got an option to buy the player. When they lift it, Chang will sign a two year during contract with the Dutch club (2005). RBC Roosendaal is already longer looking for a right back, so it is expected he will act there.

Hi Holland18:
I'm pretty ignorant of Dutch football outside of the big 3. How big a club is RBC Roosendaal? Did they just get promoted this year? Looks like they are 15th out of 18 currently. How many teams gets relegated from the Eredivisie. Also do they have a web page? Thanks! |
Shu Chang moves to the Eredivisie? None of the Chinese sports website has reported this yet. Please keep us updated on this one.

Yes, Dutch paper 'De Telegraaf' writes that, i just read it. De Telegraaf is probably the biggest paper in The Netherlands and it quite reliable. Othe media didn't followed yet, also RBC Roosendaal didn't came with an official statement so far.
RBC Roosendaal is currently on the 15th place, that's true. Their most important player is former Ajax player Nordin Wooter. He came last summer on a Bosman from English side Watford but already attracted interest from other clubs including Heerenveen, Vitesse and even Feyenoord send their chief scout. RBC or even a fansite don't have a English part of their website. I know RBC were looking for a right back in a foreign country, so Shu Chang could be that. I could advise the website www.dutchfootball.net, that's the only site were you can find a complete coverage about the dutch football. Some days ago they fired the RBC coach because the squad didn't have any more confidence in him. Furthermore 'Liaoning Football Club China' gave a trial just some weeks ago to RBC top goal scorer Geert den Ouden. Could you tell me more about this player. is he near the national team or what? |
Shu Chang (Shu is the family name), 1.83m, 80 kg, born Feb 24, 1977. Plays in defense for his club. I don't think he has played for the national team, in fact, I can't remember him making the camp, so this is somewhat of a surprise.

Shu Chang made the camp a few times when Bora was the head coach. He has a few caps, I think he played couple matches for China in a tourney in Thailand 2 yrs ago.

He could become "Yang Chen II".

There's also an article about this potential transfer available at Planet Football's Asia section:

Thanks for the link. Planetfootball.com also reports that Feyenoord's trying to sign Yu Tao on a six-month loan deal.

A friend of my just told me RBC Roosendaal manager Paul van der Kraan visited China last week. Van der Kraan stated that in a Dutch paper, furthermore he said the player could come next season because the transfer period of today evening (European) can't be made so quickly.
