Juve legend Omar Sivori has passed away
Omar Sivori died today at age 69. Sivori won three Scudettos, two Coppa Italia, a capocaneri title and a Golden Ball. He was a great talent and used to form the attacking partnership with John Charles (once, Charles in an attempt to calm Sivori during a game, started slapping him on the face). It seems that the two were made for each other as only months now seperate the death of the two. He also played for Napoli, although he hailed from Argentina he also played for Italy in the famous 1962 World Cup with the "oriundi".

There is a special on him on gazzetta.it for those who are interested. They were 3 greats at the time, Sivori, Charles and I just can't remember the 3rd one. He also scored 6 goals in one game vs Inter once, although I must add that Inter players were on strike that day and played their youth (primavera) team. Riposa in Pace grande Sivori |

Thanks to Sivori, Juve was the first team to ever beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in a Champions Cup match.
