San Jose letter writing campaign (R)
 

Don't know if anyone has been reading the San Jose boards but apparently they are yet again unhappy with the ref's in tonight's loss to a better club. So they have started a letter writing campaign.

here is an example:

"Dear to Whom it may concern,

With proper reviewing of all angles of tapes, from the San Jose Earthquakes vs. The Los Angeles Galaxy on 9-14-02, you will notice that the goal Ruiz scored was in fact offsides. Todays game should be called a 0-0 tie at least. I have been an avid fan of soccer for over 15 years now and I am disappointed that the side ref failed to call Calros Ruiz offsides.

Thank you for your time.

But a few of the fans have taken it a step further. Read on.


" Dear President Bush,

I know your busy with the whole Iraq thing and all but I demand that you instruct congress to review the videotaped evidence I have enclosed in this letter that clearly shows Carlos Ruiz was offsides. I would appreciate you over ruling the result.

Remember, San Jose fans are known for such hits as...

- 9-11 sucked mostly because we would have won the west if they didn't cancel the games. And I'm also sorry people died, i guess.
