I am truly impressed with this issue of SA.

This is by far the best single issue I've seen so far.

the MLS preview issue is always chock full of ads.

SA does well on a few issues a year. MLS preview is one. Summer camp is another.

February and March are the dead months.

Soccer America has improved considerably in the last 6 months. The latest issue is just the latest example IMHO.

I was surprised that they did not flip flop the camp issue and the MLS issue so that the MLS issue would come out the week before the season started.

I have been happy with Soccer America and hope they continue to get better. It has come a long way since I first started to subscribe back in the late 80's, except for Gardners columns which are IDENTICAL even more than a decade later.

Aside from the MLS Preview, this is a great issue.

The page design, photos, charts, tables - everything - just excellent.

    Much better stuff.

Cover and paper quality has improved. Writing is much the same - but more in-depth stuff that is not time sensitive.

They have improved greatly in the last 6-12 months. I just hope they keep consistently improving rather than stagnating and then scrambling to catch up every 3 or 4 years.

Their e-mail service has been spotty at best, though, recently.

I love Soccer America, but I live in Hawaii and they mail thier ******** bulk rate. So I get it 3 weeks late.

I signed up for something or other and this was my first issue of Soccer America. I was very impressed with it as I really liked some of the information they provided. Not sure if I'm impressed enough for an $80 a year subsription but maybe.

I'm impressed that this was actually available on many newsstands in Chicago.
