I'd been meaning to answer for a while, it seemed such a genuine question to ponder over. A lot has happened with football and communications since I started watching the game. In fact the day I made my mind up to actively support and follow the team was seeing my very first televized football match. The 1950 FA Cup final. In blury black & white. In fact better than some of todays streams.
Liverpool lost 2-0 to Arsenal and the next season we went down to the 2nd division, there we languished until Billy Shankley came along.

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. it really means a lot to me to get an actual Liverpudlian's perspective.
