Skizzblog is BACK...or how Arsenal losing cured my writers block

Posted 19 Dec 2008 at 04:59 PM by Skizz (SkizzBlog®)

Picture: bbc.co.uk

Yes, as you can see from the fact you are reading this, Skizzblog is making a return to BigSoccer. Considering the number of readers who I somewhat let down by terminating my blog at what was extremely short notice (read: thirty seconds’ notice), I feel I should explain my reasons for not writing my blog for seven months.

Skizz fell out of love with writing. I know that makes me sound like an arrogant SOB for writing in the third person, but the situation...

Skizz on Sabbatical

Posted 20 May 2008 at 06:14 AM by Skizz (SkizzBlog®)

Skizzblog will be taking a couple of weeks off, but will be back in time for the all new “Skizz @ The Euro’s” supplement. See it as a feature-length episode where Skizz analyses all the action at the European Championships…totally impartially! Skizz will continue to provide all your Arse news during this time, but until Skizz’s return take care of yourselves...and each other.

Clichy sets sights on four-year extension

Posted 16 May 2008 at 05:10 AM by Skizz (SkizzBlog®)

Clichy - set to sign deal in a matter of days

I know you’re all gutted about the lack of blog yesterday, but I’ve been snowed under at work and not really had too much to say. The big news (and good news) is that Gael Clichy is expected to sign a new four-year deal by the end of next week. Clichy told France Football:

Vieira - Arsenal in danger of blah, blah, blah

Posted 14 May 2008 at 10:33 AM by Skizz (SkizzBlog®)

Paddy - sticking his lengthy oar in once again

Everyone’s favourite former Arsenal skipper (who weighs in with his two pence worth every single f#cking season has had his annual Arse-related interview. Much as I love PV4, he needs to STFU from time to time. In an interview with Ford’s Feel Football website, he said:

Arse Transfer Round Up #1 of 267

Posted 13 May 2008 at 04:42 PM by Skizz (SkizzBlog®)

Hleb - Walking, not running, towards the exit door

Good lord this is late but I suppose you're always happier to get on a late train than waiting on a cold platform until the next day. All the talk today has been of the potential comings and goings at Emirates Stadium and with Flamoney gone most of this surrounds Alex Hleb. His agent (read: cuunt) said last week that he would definitely be leaving Arsenal this summer but earlier today Hleb moved to quell these rumours in an interview with German website...

Wenger blasts Milan clubs

Posted 10 May 2008 at 06:06 AM by Skizz (SkizzBlog®)

Most non-Arsenal fans will either love or loathe Arsene Wenger. 99.9% of all Gooners love Arsene Wenger (go and find the 0.1% of Gooners who don't like him on the Arsenal BigSoccer board, some idiots wanted him sacked at the start of the season) and one of the reasons is because he's a quiet man who keeps himself to himself. So when he goes on a Weng-rampage as he did yesterday, it makes for great viewing because it's so unlike him.

Wenger set off rampaging yesterday and took out everyone in his...

Adebayor - pay up or ship me out

Posted 09 May 2008 at 04:45 AM by Skizz (SkizzBlog®)

The final Skizzblog of the working week is filled with stories of players threatening to quit the club unless their demands are met. The first such rumour surrounds Emmanuel Adebayor, who only yesterday said that he was happy at the club and was thinking about next season. The Daily Mail is reporting that Adebayor has demanded £80k per week to stay at the club, and has threatened to quit if he does not get it. What I will say is that Neil Ashton has never been the most astute...

Adebayor stays and sets sight on improvement

Posted 08 May 2008 at 05:14 AM by Skizz (SkizzBlog®)

The weather is hot, hot, hot in the UK and I’m stuck in a bloody office writing this blog for you lot. Be happy. Anyway, some good news is that Emmanuel Adebayor, who was being linked with a move away in some reports yesterday that said he was unhappy, has now blasted any chance of a move to Barcelona out the window by setting his sights opn improving next year:

Wenger prepares to report Real and C**teron for tapping up Cesc

Posted 07 May 2008 at 05:44 AM by Skizz (SkizzBlog®)

Fresh from reporting Inter Milan to FIFA for tapping up winger Alex Hleb, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger looks like he’s got another report to write as he prepares to report Real Madrid for repeatedly tapping up midfielder Cesc Fabregas.

Madrid President Ramon Calderon has refused to take no for an answer from Fabregas who has insisted numerous times he wants to stay at the club, and having seen his side claim the La Liga title at the weekend the bellend has decided...
