Stewie's a winner all right

Winners:
  • Stuart Holden - he scored one absolute scorcher against Haiti and came damn close to scoring a second. With him and Robbie Rogers looking scary good, Bob Bradley's head is going to be spinning from all the real competition for places on the midfield flanks. This can only be a good thing... unless for DaMarcus Beasley. Sorry, DaMarcus.

Adu Bids Adieu to USMNT

So, after a night of stepovers, multiple touches and perhaps little else, Freddy Adu left the US Men's National Team today to rejoin his teammates at Benfica in Portugal, where he will use the preseason to either find more playing time or show well enough to drum up interest elsewhere.


Adu is rejoining his club team.

Adu scored in the 4-0 win over Grenada in the opening game of the Gold Cup, but looked a bit overwhelmed by the moment last night during his 63 minutes in the 2-0...

Gold Cup Draw brings USA to Seattle, DC, and Boston

I pretty much echo what Ed said here, so I'll just move on to today's Gold Cup Draw.

GROUP A: Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Jamaica
GROUP B: Grenada, Haiti, Honduras, USA
GROUP C: Guadeloupe, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama

Well, the US can't be too unhappy with its draw though, without some very good marketing, that match against Honduras will be a road game. July 4th in Seattle will be a good time though...
