1. Pablo Campos (Real Salt Lake)

Many were thinking - especially after their recent trades - that Chivas USA would snap out of their funk and move on back up the Western Conference standings. Not the case early on in the week and certainily not the case to close it out. Pablo Campos was the man behind the continuation of the Goats' nasty trend. His goal right before halftime helped open up the floodgates. It was - surprisingly - his first in an RSL uniform. He didn't let that settle, putting up the game winner vs. Kansas City over the weekend to pull RSL back to .500.

2. Stefan Frei (Toronto FC)

His play in a 0-0 stalemate with Seattle at home was admirable (as a clean sheet is a clean sheet, any way you can get it) but this is more a reward for consistency. Sure, the Swiss shot stopper has made mistakes but - as a rookie - he's about as promising as the goalkeeper's get in this league. Is he still in the running for Rookie of the Year?

3. Julien Baudet (Colorado)

Broken arm and all, Bauden came off the bench to sub in for an injured Cory Gibbs early on vs. Houston and made his first significant time in almost a month count. The Rapids are gaining ground on the Western Conference leaders and Baudet's first MLS goal had a lot to do with that. A 13th minute header did the trick and with Gibbs out and new boy Drew Moor coming in (the 1-0 win over Houston was Ugo Ihemelu's last game with the club) from FC Dallas, Baudet's run in the first team should continue.

4. Dejan Jakovic (DC United)

It almost feels as if I have been ignoring him all season but the truth is, although the results haven't always been there for United (especially tonight), Jakovic has been a welcomed addition to DC's backline. Maybe he was overshadowed by the early play of Rodney Wallace and Chris Pontius but without Jakovic, United's backline would be in shambles. His play in this past week's 1-0 win over Eastern Conference foes Chicago justifies that.

5. Omar Gonzalez (Los Angeles)

Somebody tell me how I keep this rookie off this list? It's almost impossible the way he was been playing the past couple months. This past week - as the Galaxy overcame Chivas USA in a fiery Superclasico - Gonzalez provided an assist on David Beckham's gamewinning goal.

6. Sebastian Le Toux (Seattle)

He did everything but score vs. Toronto FC but the Frenchman couldn't end the home scoring drought for the Sounders and their fans. Le Toux was nice enough to carry over his form to help the Sounders secure their first silverware as a Major League Soccer franchise. His assist to Roger Levesque essentially put the nail in the coffin in tonight's Open Cup win over DC United.

7. Sam Cronin (Toronto FC)

Cronin's play - just like Frei's - vs. the Sounders wasn't particularly memorable but his season so far is. It's easy to forget the midfielder is in fact a rookie. He has played primarily as a holding midfielder but his versatility has shone through, manning the wing on occasions and pushing forward as the Reds try and make their first postseason ever. Thanks to Cronin, Frei, and the two Gambian finds - they have a hell of a chance.

8. Gregg Berhalter (Los Angeles)

Berhalter makes the list yet again for a shutout, of course, but more importantly for his containment of Maykel Galindo. Galindo hasn't been particularly dangerous this season but Berhalter was perfectly positioned most of them game and was able to minimize the number of times Galindo burned the veteran with his speed.

9. Kevin Alston (New England)

That's three in a row for the Revs and once again the trio of Barnes, Alston, and Osei have a good deal to do with that. He had a couple of mistakes early on, especially in an all-around pitiful first half from the Revs. New England, however, were able to count on Alston's pace late in the game to counter the tough San Jose strike corps led by a late sub - but quick hit - Quincy Amarinkwa.

10. Andre Luiz (San Jose)

Andre Luiz had a great game in the midfield for the Earthquakes, despite a San Jose loss. He probably deserves to be higher on the list if it weren't for one thing. Luiz's defensive mistake allowed Steve Ralston to grab his 7th goal of the season and put the Revs ahead. Since joining the Quakes, Andre Luiz has been steady in the midfield along with fellow newcomer Ramon Sanchez.

    Baudette's goal was 58th minute -- not 13th.
