It's Thursday must be Vase Day:

Lineup:

---------Kirkland
Finnan/Biscan? --H-H ----Jamie
Spuds---Didi---The Captain---Harry
--------Milan---Mikie

Dudek
Finnan/Biscan?
D-Jimmy
Diouf
TLT
Pongolle
Cheyrou

Have Finnan's f-ups won him a seat? I think no, but I've left a chance it's so. It's Europe, so we've a longer bench. I think Spuds has won his spot for now but everyone on the bench will really want to get in against Marseille. YNWA!

That's the way I see it, Liverbird...but I see Finnan over Biscan. Gerard MAY be tempted to put Diouf in there of Murphy, but I certainly hope not.

This is completely off-topic, but on-loan Gregory Vignal scored this weekend in Espanyol's 5-1 thrashing of Celta de Vigo. I thought I would post about it in case anyone cares.

Good for Vignal. A shame he never was fit enough to get a shot at LFC.

Back toward the topic, but building on the "thrashing" theme in your post, I saw a little bit of Bastia-OM today. Looking forward to Thursday, now that I've seen a bit of our opponents. . . should be very interesting.

I think Finnan will keep his starting spot. With TLT going down in the reserves, I'd guess Riise will be included to round out the bench (haven't seen anything about Heskey's being back yet.)

Comms might be doable. Cube Mate offered to switch days at the front desk and it's not too busy here today.

I'm at home during today's match, so it's the old dial up (slow) computer.
Looking forward to the comms.
Celtic and Barca are playing in the same time slot. Newcastle starts 15 minutes earlier. Have to keep an eye on them as well.

Barthez grabs a long Carragher throw and gets a nice reception from the home crowd. :)

Having audio probs right now. Stream occasionally craps out.

Marlet scuffs a chance and Owen threatens on the quick counter.

Goal kick comes back to LFC and Baros wins a corner. Gerrard from the left.

Cleared, and Kewell volleys it over.

Corner to Marseilles. Carragher's clearance deflected out.

Gerrard heads it out of danger.

Marlet offside.

If someone has a smooth connection, could they do comms? I'm crapping out a lot here.

OK, I've gone to Audio Only and that seems to be better.

Marlet misses an open goal after Drogba and Kirkland collide.

Good work by Gerrard and Finnan, but Finnan's cross is off the mark.

Murphy in the box, but his cross is blocked for a corner.

Kewell to take the inswinger.

Baros' header blocked. Rebound comes to Gerrard, and Baros is fouled.

Free kick cleared.

Have to work for a sec...
