I've just been sent an e-mail telling me that as part of the stadium deal (NIKE giving a lot of money towards it), Arsenal have agreed to TWO NEW KITS this summer. This is what they are.

I prefer the blue kit to be honest and am a bit disappointed they seem to of dropped the Yellow away kit we currantly wear.

But not too bad!!

Although I'm sure many won't like them, I think they look pretty good, especially the away one. Love to see what the back looks like.

The home kit looks like garbage. The etched v-neck design looks terrible & the orange outlining is bloody aberation. Nike are taking the piss.

The look doesn't bother me. As I've said before I'm more concerned with the vicks vapor rub being smeared over the crest. They really should have taken that into consideration.

I think that the orange outlining is really just a strip that's the same gold-ish color that's around the crest and the color of the cannon. I don't think the overall designs look bad, but like others I wish the crests were back over the hearts and not in the middle.

Gothamite posted both of these pictures yesterday in the other kit thread below. I think the kits will be popular. Seems like Nike will be putting the crest in the center for other clubs too. Gothamite's pictures include the new Juventus home kit with their crest in the middle.

We should have stood firm like Barcelona did, their crest will remain on the heart. Although one good thing that can be said about the new home kit is at least they've worked a decent design for incorporating the white sleeves. The latest version looks rather botched.

I like them a lot. I guess I will hold off on getting the JAR9 top until this new model comes out(I hope to find a longsleeve).Do you think there is any chance of them having a yellow top as a third shirt? I think the current yellow away kit is class, I hope the can slide that color in some how for next season.

I'm pretty sure that they're keeping the yellow a a 3rd kit for one more year.

Not the first time they've taken the crest off the heart, hope this one is as short-lived as last time.

I actually like the blue, but not the home. Last time we refused the generic Nike template - why did we cave this time?

I actually like the new design, looks more 'European'. The yellow will be the third kit, this was confirmed a few months back in the official Arsenal magazine (in the UK). I'll have "HENRY 14" on the red one and "REYES 9" on the blue one (my yellow one has "VIEIRA 4" on the back).

No offense, but how can a design from an American company, rolled out to clubs in North and South America as well as Europe look more 'European'?

What is it about the design that looks looks European to you?

i would like it better if they inversed the yellow and blue on the away kit. i like the yellow a lot better, and i may sound superstitious, but good things happen when we have yellow/gold aways

Just hideous.

Glad all you Nike marks are so adamant about supporting the company, but they are doing an absolutely terrible job with our kits, plain and simple. The curved look around the sleeves on the home uni is appalling - why not zig zags or something equally as stupid? Maybe next year.

These look like ladies kits (and I say that with no offense intended towards women everywhere).

Ladies,

we've a champions league game coming up on Weds followed by a tough away match against Blackburn on Sat. I'll take the USA 94 denim "outfits" for next year as long as we keep on winning.

Geez, those are abyssmal. What happened to classic collars? Why must we bow down to them putting the crest in the center? Why the sudden attraction to that damn gold outline on the shirt? I think I'd prefer a copy of the Croatia home checkerboard shirt to that home strip.

The blue is much better, however, and if they move the crest that one will be fairly decent.

Like the blue, but the piping on the red looks like it belongs on a placemat. I hope they use the current yellow a lot too, as it is one of my favorites.

I'm still partial to my Addidas JVC that's in my drawer.

I like the crest over the heart.

These kits look ugly.

The yellow away shirt is awesome and unique, too.

I'd prefer the blue away from last season over this new blue.

Nike has taken a step backwards. But, at least there are no circles around the numbers.
