I'm a New Yorker in temporary exile in LaLaLand.

Anybody know where I can watch a match while in Los Angeles?

Check out the Fox & Hounds in Studio City.

I'm a fellow east coaster now living in LA myself. There are a few places to watch it. 3 primary places. Just like NY, LA is big as well and there may be a bar that is closer to you. Also, some have 'atmosphere' and some don't.

1. Fox and Hounds, this is in Studio City section of the San Fernando valley. The good thing about it is is the owner, Gary, is a Gooner. Played once for QPR I think as well. Good atmosphere, lots of TVs, $10 cover charge and they have ALL games, including cup, CL and even have la Liga games as well.

2. ******** 'N Bulls, located in Santa Monica, bordering West Los Angeles. Scousers run this and has a great atmosphere. Packed on big games, $10 cover charge. They have all games as well, league, cup and CL. However, be prepared to share the pub on big Rugby days. Some think it adds to the atmosphere.

3. The Underground, Hermosa Beach, in the south bay area. They show all league games and is free. This includes the pay per view games that the above 2 charge $10 cover far. However, they only open at 7am on Saturdays, 8am Sundays, the usual time for ppv games. If any game is on live at 4:30 am which does happen (I know it sucks) they won't have it. My advice is to order Fox Sports World. They'll usually carry the live 4:30am (lunch kickoffs in england) game. This is usually the Man Utd game. The Underground does not carry cup or CL games. Its their first season buying the package so they haven't progressed to past league games left. The least 'atmosphere' of the 3. Typically no more than 9 or 10 people to watch games. Mostly Man Utd supporters, a couple gooners including myself when we're playing. A bit of history in it as it was once called 'Besties' and owned by George Best.

Cool - thanks for the tips.

I have another favor to ask - are there any good football shops in town? I'm working in Van Nuys for the next few weeks, and I stopped in a really awful soccer shop on VN Blvd.

What I want more than anything is an Arsenal cap, or a crest patch for my bag. The place I went had a lot of Man U stuff, but only a home shirt for Arsenal.

Where do you guys buy your stuff? What's the LA equivilant of the Onyun Bahg?

I've always found what I need at Soccer Shop, their main store is in LA on Vermont and 3rd. They do have another store somewhere in Valley not sure where though.
