Check out the 3rd period. This will surely make SportsCenter Saturday morning.

Cool, I can't remember the last time two goalies got tossed from a game.

Brashear & Chara with instigator penalties ... well, I guess that's not quite as rare

What a mess.

Five or six fights in a row during the last 1:45 of play.

I do:
Patrick Roy vs. Mike Vernon, 3/1997
Those were the days...that shifty neutral Swiss Aebischer probably wouldn't get himself in an orgy of violence like Roy gladly did.

Lots of bad blood going into this one. Havlat takes a 2 handed chop at Recchi in the last game. Hithcock says "someone's going to hand Havlat his lunch one of these days."

Ding! Ding! Lunch is served. Rob Ray comes out of the announcer's booth just in time to get ********ed up by Donald Brashear. Then they're off to the races. Fights rage on for several minutes straight. Old time hockey at its best.

That looks like an old time Flier game.

SportsCenter showed the benches after the fights, and it looked like a bench 5 minutes after the game, not during the game.

I wish I had seen that game.

I watched the Caps game. Players were making runs at Brashear all night and he refused to fight. Apparently he was in no condition to fight after the night before.

Pointless trivia from this brawl!

In December, the two teams AHL affiliates, the Philadelphia Phantoms and the Binghamton Senators staged their own fight night at the Spectrum. 373 penalty minutes, a couple of fights in the 3rd (If you get a chance to see these fights check them out, if only to see Phantom goaltender Neil Little just stage-dive into one of the brawls.) 8 players tossed, including 2 goaltenders (one of whom played a whopping 7 seconds before getting his game misconduct), and the game ending with 8 seconds remaining due to a lack of players.

LOL, I remember that game kiwk.

Emery, the B-Sens goalie, has another multi-game suspension. Ottawa won't be able to call him up either.
