I will be studying in Prague from May 30 - June 8. Does anyone know if there will be any games during this period? I know the main league will be ending in mid May but the 2nd Division is still running I beleive. Which teams, including 2 or 3 division clubs are near Prague and may still have matches during this time? Thanks everyone for your help. I'd love to see some football on my study trip.

Hi,
I should be able to help you out a little. I am envious of you because you get a chance to see some Czech league soccer!

2nd division
You are in luck on May 30th Bohemians Praha are hosting Prachatice at 4:30. However, I should tell you that this date could change. The Czech FA usually gives more specific dates of game a few weeks before the actual games. You can always post in the Eastern European forum (or PM me) and I would be more then willing to help you.

I went to a Bohemians-Sigma Olomouc game a few years back. The stadium isn't hard to find. It is on a main tram line. Bohemians were relegated from the first division last year.

On June 6th (again the game dates might change). I recommend going to the Drnovice at Xaverov match. Drnovice were relegated from the first division to the third division because of financial problems two years ago. Last year they were promoted from the third division and this year they will be promoted (probably) back to the first division. They are clearly the class of the 2nd division.

Xaverov is a suburb of Praha (called Praha 9). The full name of the club is Xaverov Horní Pocernice. I will do some looking around for you to try to find out exactly where the stadium is.

3rd division
No games that I am aware of in the Prague area, but I will check on this.
