Most of the confrence tournies started today, or will be played next week.
Nobody officially in, yet. With a win tomorrow, and a Brown loss, Princeton could be the first team to officially make the tourny.
This thread will be closed next Sunday when the selections are made.

They have to consider Washington for the NCAA Tournament. The Huskies have beaten Arizona twice, had a good game against NC State in Raleigh, and they've just defeated the previously unbeaten Stanford.
I know, the RPI isn't favoring Washington, but they deserve a consideration. They have won 12 out of 13 Pac-10 games and 12 of 14 overall.

Does anyone think Georgia has a shot to get into the field? They have some good wins, but also some bad losses. NIT might be better anyway for the understrength Dawgs this year. Still, always have to support my Dawgs!

If any of the Georgia players go on to become huge coaching successes, to whom will they give the credit?

Good for Capel. Even though I'm not a fan of much anything Duke or Duke related, Capel is a good guy and I'm glad he is doing well.
I also doubt that Maryland will make the tourny unless they win the ACC tourny.

Still, always have to support my Dawgs! Georgia won't get in unless they win the SEC tournament. Too many losses, and too many other worthy teams from the SEC. Granted, if they do manage to beat Kentucky again, they might find themselves back on the bubble.
I'd say the SEC gets 7 in. Alabama is a lock, by the way. They have played the toughest schedule in the country according to the numbers.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Explain how short of the team being involved in a horrible accident Maryland gets left out of the tournament.

Since January, The only quality win the Terps have has is that against NC St. In that span, they have lost to Ga Tech twice, NC St, Duke (though it was at Dixon Indoor Arena), and UNC. UMd finished 6th in the ACC, only one game ahead of FSU and VA. Maybe I'm just setting my sights low, but I don't think the Terps will make the Tourny.

Marquette's on the ropes down ten to TCU.
(and nutter - I'd be pretty surprised if Maryland didn't make it.)
edit - Marquette on an 8-0 run is down 2.

Well, St. Joe's is going to flame out of the A-10 tourney in spectacular style, right now losing 53-23 to Xavier in the 2nd half. So, the "unbeaten season" pressure is off.
