I'm not sure how many of us pick up 442, or how frequently but I just picked up the "new" issue [with Rooney on the cover] and on the inside I come to see that they're again offering a years subscription for 24 bucks, which is a helluva lot better than paying 7 bucks an issue.

I don't see any url on the little flyer but you can call 1-732-424-7811 to subscribe also. I suggest doing it, because I know I am. I'm just happy they brought the deal back, I know they had it a few years ago and I subscribed but when my year was up I wasn't given an option to renew it.

Anyway, figured peole would want to know.

It looks as if they're redoing the subscription page on their site, so maybe they are crazy enough to offer a year for $24. I can only guess that they have an American firm printing a copy for the US market because the postage for a year is WAY more than $24

Here's the link to their site:

I get it for $40 a year, it comes for some place in NC but it is imported from England so itwon't have the ad on the back when you buy it from a book store about America only soccer radio show.

I too have a subscription, paying $30 for it - started out at $25 a few years ago. It comes from some place in Jersey now.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I just called the number above and they quoted a $69 rate for the year. Is there a special code or promotion?

Any of you guys have a subscription to the Arsenal magazine? I'm considering it since my local mag shop (which carries a huge number of mags) stopped getting the Arsenal one - I guess I was the only one buying . . .

It is around $100 or so for the year but I would be doing my part as an Arsenal supporter!

so I'd try calling them back and telling them that they are indeed offering subscriptions for 24 bucks.

I love 442! I read every copy at my local library (Arlington Heights) before we moved to Naperville. Surprisingly, Naperville is one of the best library systems in the country (3 locations) and doesn't carry 442. I need to get a subscription...felt like I learned so much about football just from reading one issue.

Has anyone had any luck getting it for $24?

I'm a current subscriber and my renewal notice just came a few days ago. It's for $39.50 which isn't bad, but I'd love to get it for $24 again if that's possible.

I got in on a $24 offer back in 2000 and my first renewal in 2001 cost the equivalent of $22.10. That went up to $30.74 in 2002 and to $34.74 last year.

I called the # listed above on the card, and they quoted me for $24. They said to send the card with the check/money order/cashier's check, but since I didn't get the latest issue, I don't have the card. I wrote a letter along with my cashier's check for $24 saying that I lost the card. I don't see why that would be such a big deal, because I wouldn't buy it unless it was at the discounted rate, 'cause I'm a cheap bastard.

No word yet on if it'll work.

What a ridiculous system....I just called them, as well, and they said I have to have the card otherwise it's $69/yr.

I hate those lil' subscription cards but now here I am wishing I had one!

Yeah, that bites hard. Oh well, if they send my check back to me, I'll just go to Tower Records and take one of the cards out of the latest issue. Phooey on them if they don't want my money.

I just called the number listed and the service guy said I need to give him a promotion code # listed at the bottom of the card. Unfortunately I can't see a number listed on the image. He said without the code it is $69.

Is there a promotion code? If so, please share it?

the only thing I see near the bottom is MIFGH, so try calling in with that and tell me if it works.

The code worked. I got it for $24.00. It seemed slightly shady though. I don't get my first issue until May. I'll have to make sure to go after these guys if I don't get my first issue.

How's it shady? The code and insert are totally legit. I think it's just a way for the magazine importer to make some more money because I doubt many people subscribe to the mag when it's 99 bucks. Either way I know I'm getting a subscription for my birthday in a week's time, but I also wanted to let other US fans get in on the action since it's such a good magazine.

My mags come in an envelope from "EWA & Miniature Cars USA, Inc." who's website

www.britmags.com

Shows a $69/yr US subscription rate.

This month I received my annual renewal letter offering me 12 issues for $39.50.

I think I'll take the 12 for $24 and let my old subscription lapse.

They weren't willing to give me any type of confirmation # for my order and my credit card will be charged long before I get my first magazine. I haven't ordered a subscription this way before so I wasn't sure what I would get back.

Not a big deal though. I ordered anyway. For a second it just seemed like $24.00 was to good to true.

I took a look at the website for EWA models and magazines and it is related to the site you get by clicking the 442 link on World Soccer Weekly's site (only going that route they want $69).

Thanks for posting the code and I hope other people get in on the deal.

What number do you call? Is it in England?
