So, you've probably heard the story as 5 pm this afternoon, all potential bids for the habs are due in and over 50 people have stood up including 10 big names, one of those being Joey Saputo.
During the Ranger game, he was on CJAD explaining his intention in making a bid.
Now could this effect l'Impact? I mean Saputo supposedly didn't want to pay the full amount, even when he was splitting it with Gillet which I'm not so sure if he still is or if Gillet is still able to. Now hes going to buy the Habs. Will he have money afterwards for the Impact? Will he have as much time for L'Impact when the Habs are clearly higher on the Montreal sports rung. Will he be able to cross-advertise which means more exposure for our soccer team? Will he have the money for MLS?
Honestly, I'm not sure what to take of it all. But all I know is if they have to bid for 2012 soon and they don't even know what they own in the books, it'll be hard to put together a focused bid.
