Hello Everyone!
Thanks to BigSoccer, ProfZodiac, and especially Dark Knight, for spearheading this new sub-forum. This forum is about discussion and comments about WSD episodes, and will include programming notes for the convenience of the listeners.
Your moderators, who will introduce themselves, are Blue Note and DJPower.
For those who may be unfamiliar with World Soccer Daily, WSD is a call-in talk show on Sirius and iTunes. It deals mostly EPL, European Cups, and MLS. As it is a call-in show, callers drive the conversations.
Over the past few weeks WSD has had, as guests:
Most of the MLS coaches, including Preki (CHV), Juan Carlos Osorio(NY), Robert Warzycha(CLB), Schellas Hyndman(DAL), Denis Hamlett (CHI), Sigi Schmidt(SEA), Frank Yallop(SJ), Curt Onalfo(KC), Tom Soehn(DC), Gary Smith(COL), Jason Kreis(RSL)
Colin Clark, head coach of the Puerto Rico Islanders ;Tom Payne, President of Business Operations of the LA Galaxy; Commentator Derek Rae;Stoke City manager Tony Pulis; plus many more.
Not to mention the normal correspondents like Robbie Earle, Graham Poll, Tim Vickery, Andy Brassell, Graham Hunter, etc.
Everyone at WSD is pleased to be a small part of the BigSoccer, and hopes this is part of the long and possibly entertaining growth of soccer in the USA.
Oh, and I'm just Woody. I'm not part of the WSD staff, like Blue Note and DJPower, I'm just volunteering some time.

I didn't realize I could download this on Itunes - I just need to subscribe to the podcast? That's great - I'll have to check it out.

Yup, that's all you have to do. You can link in from the website or get the RSS for any specific episode. I know a bunch of people who DL it and listen on their commutes home, putting them in a right state by the time they get to dinner :D

Any chance of getting John Carver from TFC on the show? I would be very interested in his take on the MLS having coached at Newcastle, and his feelings on the quality of the league.

Nope, not right now. Michelle Lissel @ TFC Media and PR told WSD categorically "Carver won't do radio interviews" back when the guys brought in all the MLS head coaches to talk up their teams. He's the only one who refused.

Hello Everyone!

I love the show, but I think there is a big mistake using Tim and Andy together. There is so much to ask to either one, their experience and knowledge in the leagues they cover. But having Tim for an hour and being silence half of it, doesn't add anything to the program. Dedicate one hour to Tim and South America, and dedicate another slot of 1 hour to Spain and the rest of Europe with Andy.
Thanks.
Z.

I am amazed at the number of guests; and the show quality is starting to rise, steve and kenny are getting better at their game.
Always wondered, does Vickepedia come on for free. I feel lucky to just have him to hear.
Ask him if Scolari was just past it. He appeared pretty unfocused to me.

I've been listening for a couple of years and the show has gotten so much better with the added guests.
