Not exactly a favorite, but pulling off an Elastico perfectly is perhaps the most satisfying ways to burn a defender outside of a rainbow or some such.

My favorite move is a simple scissor with the left then cutting the ball through the defender's legs with theoutside of my right foot. The other move I've been working on is simply pointing one way then cutting the other. It often works and really embarasses the defender.

i like to fan the ball about 5 times (step over)
kinda like robino then as they are about to tackle go away from then
or the elastico but its way to common
also the rolly polly when in one movement you roll the ball with your right hell then left heel right after or vice versa

Keep it simple. I actually spent a good amount of time trying to remove the more complicated tricks from my repertoire, and to stop attempting so many stepovers. I suspect it's something that would help Frankie Hejduk a bit.

Elastico - First the outside, then the inside of your foot are used to move the ball in a fast V. Very fluid, very difficult at top speed, and very hard to use effectively. Perfected by Ronaldinho, featured in the Ole commercial by Nike.
www.strongsoccer.com Surf this site a bit and you'll find countelss videos of moves.

I like to do a 360 but while your back is turned you flick the ball up turn and put it over the defenders head.
Then there is were you roll the ball with the left foot and then back heel it back to your left side while spinning

I like the good ol' fasion scizzor+fade. Simple, easy and beats them most of the time. Although i do this on the side lines: I backward step over with right, backward step over with left, let the ball through your legs pivot and take off. hard to explain bu works nicely if your in a corner.

i love to do 360 roulette, elastico, and some tricks i make up myself. i love sombreros and 360 roulettes so i combined them so i do like a 360 roulette but use my back heel to flick the ball over the defender's head.

the inside/outside drag - for those quizzed by my interpretation, its the one he does at the end of the Nike advert where Brazil play Portugal. Not to mention the disguise pass. Ingenious! Most known for Ronaldinho again but actually created by Anders Svenson of Southampton. And by the way, don't challenge me on that one, i was there!
Hmmm, what year is this? And are you talking about the disguise pass or the Ronaldinho move from the Nike commercial?
I'm asking because my uncle taught me the Ronaldinho move almost 10 years ago and HE learned it from watching the great Peruvian generation of footballers of the 70s.

~Sees a select few b/s moves befitting an And1 tape, that would likely never work on a good defender~ ._.
Oi. "Situation" indeed. I also notice it depends where you are.... ex sweepers use lanky-ish body fakes into space. forwards tighter. Onwards. For me? Now that I've moved out of keeper (Finally!) :::
Mostly just leg fakes. Fake moving the ball this way, just to create space and make them stutter. Occasionally a scissor, thoug I don't care for them. Now if I'm one on one, especially with a defender, I'll do what's called the 'snake'. At least here in south florida (anyone know hanson? yeah, he's legend with it.). Guaranteed if you get it down, you'll beat them. At least, get them wrongfooted and get around them. I promise. After that it's just a footrace I guess. (snake's where it's a quick touch with the outside of the foot away, then cut back in, all in one very fast motion)

The person that invented the elastico was Rivelino a brazilian (he invented and others have perfected it). anyways I like to do the elastico, sombrero, 360, stepovers, some C.ronaldo trick don't know the name, reverse elastico, etc.

it is called the elastico not snake and not flip flap either. hanson? who is that? Ronaldinho is the making himself a legend for the elastico.

this is my And1 move that doesn't work on anyone but horrible, overzealous defenders: this defender is completely worthless and intimidated by your superiority, so he's completely afraid to bite and tackle you. employ this against players who are just asking to get the Hot Sauce put on them. sprint up a sideline with the defender in close contact, either neck and neck with you or slightly behind. do a Maradona with a slight delay on the second half of the move, but only enough of a delay to convince the fool that you're bringing your body to a bit of a halt. the guy will quickly realize you're not stopping and will accelerate a lot. your first touch after completing the 360 should be a sharp cut inside in the direction you came. the guy should run by you, and he will be set up for the most important part of the move. EITHER FLIP THE BALL UP WITH YOUR FOOT SO THAT IT HITS THE BACK OF THE SHMUCK'S HEAD OR PUT IT THROUGH HIS LEGS SO THAT THE BALL COMES THROUGH ON THE SIDE THAT HE'S FACING BUT IS TOO UNEXPECTED FOR HIM TO CONTROL.
DECENT DEFENDERS: just a fake strike of the ball with a cut inside or a push outside, a pair of outside of the foot 180s in quick succession, with the first just evading the defender's grasp (i have a video of Ronaldo killing someone with this in his Barca days). stepover with your back to a defender to shift his leg and then drag around with outside of the foot and turn and meg in the same motion.
Great defenders: something flashy when you've been quiet throughout the game, cut, simplified elastico
Lillian Thuram in his glory days: run away, switch teams
i'm 14 so i'm naeve enough to think that these moves will work against anyone. in EPL they use a quick triple-tap of the ball to split defenders most often rather than a 360, i don't catch enough La Liga but when i have i rate Betis with Denilson and Joaquin in the same ********ing lineup!!! And1 Mixtape Tour of Spain to be certain.
