im just wondering is there a way for spurs to play a 3 forward lineup wiht kanoute, defoe and keane? or even 2 forwards and a striker with kanoute?

here is what i would like to see if there is a 3 forward formation

3-4-3

G: Keller
D: Carr, Gardner, Ziege
M: Davies, King, Brown, Ricketts
F: Keane, Kanoute, Defoe

i would like to see kanoute be a forward striker and play more forward than keane and defoe. also since this is rather offensive if needed king can be a center defender with gardner or whoever else.

just like to hear ur opinions..

No you should just stick with 2 strikers, Keane and Defoe are a great partnership. The 2nd best partnership in the league. (Henry and Bergkamp number 1).

I think we would all love to find a way to get those three on the field at the same time, but in reality scoring goals has not been a problem. As porous as the back line has been we need more help back there, not less.

Keane, Kanoute and Defoe are all scoring. Postiga, a future hope maybe, but he's a luxury we can't afford.

Agh! Wrong thread. Okay, bit pointless with three up front though. Scoring is not our problem at the moment.

Looks like you got your wish. today's lineup is

13 Kasey Keller
2 Steve Carr
12 Gary Doherty
30 Anthony Gardner
3 Mauricio Taricco
23 Christian Ziege
6 Michael Brown
29 Simon Davies
18 Jermain Defoe
9 Frederic Kanoute
10 Robbie Keane

Which I guess is a 4-3-3 that looks something like this:

----------Keller
Carr-Doherty-Richards-Taricco
-----Brown------Ziege
----------Davies
--Keane--Kanoute--Defoe

Ziege and Taricco may be reversed, and Keane and Defoe could possibly be playing midfield, making this a 4-5-1, but no matter how you slice it, the three top strikers are all in the lineup.

It will be 4 strikers next with Postiga joining in.
